What to expect from your weight loss consultation with Dr Aveen 💙

As we get ready for our upcoming Medical Weight Management Clinics, we wanted to give you a little insight into what you can expect from your consultation with Dr Aveen Daly.

Your consultation is designed to give you the time and space for a thorough medical assessment and to create a treatment plan tailored to you and your goals.

During your consultation, Dr Aveen will:

🩺 Review your medical history

Discuss your health, medications, previous weight-loss experiences and any relevant medical information to assess whether medical weight management is suitable for you.

📏 Take measurements
Your consultation includes relevant measurements to help establish a baseline and monitor your progress.

🥗 Discuss lifestyle & diet
You’ll receive personalised advice around nutrition, lifestyle and sustainable changes that can support your weight-loss journey.

💊 Discuss treatment options
If appropriate, Dr Aveen will talk you through pharmacological weight-management options, including how they work, what to expect and any potential considerations.

📋 Create your treatment plan
If medication is considered suitable, a prescription can be prepared as part of your consultation, alongside a plan for ongoing management and reviews.

Your initial consultation is €80 and includes your medical consultation, measurements, lifestyle and dietary advice, and preparation of a prescription where appropriate.
If medication is prescribed, it can also be provided in clinic where available, meaning you don’t need to take your prescription to a pharmacy and may reduce your overall cost.

How to prepare

Before your appointment, you’ll receive a medical questionnaire by email to complete ahead of your consultation. It’s helpful to have details of your current medications, relevant medical history and an idea of your weight-management goals ready.

✨ Introducing Dr Aveen Daly ✨

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Aveen Daly to the team, who will be joining us to provide our new medical weight management service 🤍

Dr Aveen graduated from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) in 2021 with an MB B*h BAO and is currently completing her GP training, with a particular interest in preventative health and supporting patients to achieve sustainable improvements in their health and wellbeing.

Aveen has also completed dedicated training in medical weight management, including the safe and evidence-based use of prescription weight-loss treatments. Her approach is centred around individualised, medically supervised care — looking at each patient as a whole and creating a treatment plan tailored to their goals, lifestyle and health needs.

PERIORAL REJUVENATION / DOWNTURN MOUTH

Many people think the fine lines around the mouth are caused by the skin alone, but often they’re also related to a gradual loss of support and structure in the tissues surrounding the lips.

For this patient, 2ml of dermal filler was used to:

✨ Support the upper lip

✨ Restore lip border definition

✨ Soften lipstick lines

✨ Refresh the overall mouth area

This wasn’t about creating bigger lips or dramatically changing appearance. The focus was restoring support where it had been lost and creating a fresher, more rested look while maintaining natural movement and expression.

The best results are often the ones nobody notices — they simply see you looking refreshed.

A subtle treatment with a significant impact ✨

As we age, the area around the mouth can lose support, leading to fine “lipstick lines,” reduced lip definition and a less supported appearance around the upper lip.

For this patient, 2ml of dermal filler was carefully placed to support the upper lip, restore definition to the lip border and soften the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.

Importantly, this was not a lip augmentation treatment. The goal was to restore support and structure while maintaining a completely natural appearance.

The result is a fresher, softer and more supported mouth area, without adding obvious volume or changing the patient’s natural features.

Beautiful results often come from restoring what’s been lost, rather than adding something new 🤍
