Brigid’s Day - St. Brigid’s Day

February 1st is the day of celebration of the Celtic Goddess Brigid and the Christian Saint Brigid.

Brigid, the Celtic Goddess, is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, blacksmithing and domesticated animals. She is also considered a goddess of fertility. The celtic festival of Imbolc is celebrated on February 1st for the goddess Brigid.

St. Brigid is known for her compassion, healing, and protection of women.

We now have a holiday in Ireland in honour of Brigid and St. Brigid, on February 6th.
