At Galway Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre our aim is simply to help you get to your ideal health both physically and mentally and stay there!

We like to build a partnership with our clients based on education so you can also manage your health at home. Here at Galway Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre we use many different tools to get you to where you want to be! Physiotherapy, Massage, Pilates, Meditation, Exercise Rehabilitation and Programs are just some of the tools we use to get you to a 'Healthy Body and Healthy Mind'! To help us wi

th this we have a fully equipped Physiotherapy Clinic, massage room, Pilates and Meditation area and rehabilitation centre. The main objective we have however is to provide a cheerful, confident and committed service. We are available every day not only to treat but to advise, educate and simply be there for our clients with any questions you may have to help you on your way to your specific goals. Finally, our main job is to get you pain or symptom free as soon as possible. We do this through listening to you tell us exactly what your personal situation is before explaining to you exactly what is going on. Studies show the more you understand what is going on with your body the better your results every time, so for us education is vital. Then, our treatments are primarily hands on but we also like to focus on advice e.g. postural work and your home exercise and rehabilitation plans as they are the key to prevent this happening again and again! Lastly, at the beginning and end of each session we assess the improvements from our previous meeting and the current treatment as well as finalising your home plan to ensure we are getting you back to 100% as soon as possible and staying there.

Fitting a new PC today and found this bad boy behind the old one.
In 2015-16 when opening my practice I brought this idea from Australia where you give three “Admit One” cards to every new client.
That client, if happy with your service, gives them to friends or family who need physiotherapy and they get a free appointment where you show them how you can help them. In addition, when the third person comes in, the original client gets their next appointment free.
Great idea for generating a client base (if not time).
I look back on these days with pride at the hard work, graft, dedication and perseverance I had to try these and many other methods to not go into a Public HSE 9-5pm job and build the practice I have today.
Continuing professional education, bookings, payment, invoicing, banking, social media, blogs, notes taking, cancellation management not to mention actually working hard to help people!
Yes, I have to pay into my own pension. Yes, my holidays usually can be no longer than 10 days. Yes, when I am not here I am not making money. No sick leave. No paid leave. No annual leave. Most worrying is if I get injured (🙏) we may be in trouble but that’s for another day.
I built this with the support of those around me. I love my work. I love helping people. I run my own schedule and day to day life. I would not change any of it.
I look at this card I found today and am delighted I stuck in.

The clinic is closed from Wednesday to Saturday inclusive due to the passing of my mother Mary’s father, my wonderful grandfather Jackie at 95 years of age.
A gentleman in every sense of the world he will be sadly missed by Granny Phil, his entire family and over 20 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
May he rest in peace

9 years ago today Mam said “just register your company name and start seeing a few people!” Why not sure?!
Therefore, as of today I’m officially into my 10th year owning and leading my physiotherapy practice!
Not long after this decision I finished working at the physiotherapy clinic I was at. Then I stopped working at nursing homes. I realised I needed time to focus on building the clinic and couldn’t give sports teams the time they deserved either. Nervous times with bills to pay and no “guaranteed” income.
9 years later I continue to help people for a living every day. It is easy to forget in the hectic nature of life that you wake up very lucky every day and actually do something you enjoy where some do not.
It is also easy to forget while continuing to strive to improve your practice and help more people just how well you are actually doing and the “work” you do is providing for you and those you love.
Thank you to everyone who trusts me with their health every day, week, month and over the years. Thank you for the word of mouth in the community, it is the primary reason I continue to be able to focus on my clinic and that alone and doesn’t go unnoticed or under appreciated.
Here is to 10 and even 20 more!!
