What actually drives a lot of persistent low back pain:
Poor sleep
High stress
Low physical activity
Deconditioning
Fear of movement
Catastrophic thinking
Doing too much too soon
Doing nothing at all
These are far more predictive of ongoing pain than the angle of your pelvis.
But they’re not sexy.
They don’t sell quick fixes.
They require behaviour change.
It’s much easier to blame posture than to address sleep.
Much easier to blame your pelvis than to address stress.
Much easier to say “activate your core” than to rebuild confidence in movement.
Low back pain is multifactorial.
It’s rarely about a static position.
It’s rarely about a tilted pelvis.
It’s rarely about one muscle not “switching on”.
If you’re still blaming anterior pelvic tilt in 2026, you’re stuck in a very old narrative.
You don’t fix stress overnight.
You recognise it.
You start managing it.
You improve what you can control — sleep hygiene, graded activity, exposure to movement, realistic expectations.
