A massive thank you to the team from Active Tribe Courtown Adventure & Leisure, who raised a staggering €4,632.16 for our services. Well done to everyone who took part in their monster 10-hour indoor charity cycle. This amazing sum will help fund around 61 hours of counselling for people struggling in our community.

Our brilliant child and adolescent psychotherapist, Molly Redmond, has raised growing concerns about the number of young people using our service who are engaging in self-harm and expressing suicidal thoughts.

She notes that excessive mobile phone and device use appears to be a significant contributing factor, with school attendance also suffering as a result.

To support parents, we’ve created a practical guide that highlights the risks linked to device use and how to respond effectively.

A sincere thank you to everyone at AGB GAA club for the warm welcome last week.

Futures In Mind was proud to accept a cheque for €735, raised through the St Stephen’s Day blitz in support of our mental health and wellbeing work.
We were also honoured to have previously delivered a talk at the club, supporting conversations around mental health and wellbeing.

This contribution will help us continue providing resources, education, and support to individuals and communities across Wexford, Wicklow and beyond.

5th Year Bipolar Bear talk! 🗣️

We were delighted to welcome past pupil Stephen Consadine back to his alma mater on Friday to give our 5th Year students a very important and informative talk on mental health and art.

BiPolar Bear Wear further reinforced our Positivity Week vibes by voluntarily giving this talk and instead requesting a donation to Futures In Mind to make students aware that their facility of free therapy is there if they are ever in need of it ❤️

Peer-Led Su***de Bereavement Support Groups

Losing someone to su***de is an experience that can feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Futures in Mind is beginning new peer-led su***de bereavement support groups in Gorey, Arklow and Enniscorthy - offering a space of understanding, healing, and community.

Facilitated by an accredited counsellor, the groups will provide a supportive and confidential environment to share your journey, connect with others, and find strength together.

Unfortunately, our volunteers in Gorey were met with a troubling situation yesterday morning when they discovered that donations sorted for processing, along with other items, had been stolen from the rear of our Gorey charity store.

A number of bags had been cut open, undoing the hard work carried out by volunteers the previous day, and several items were taken. Children’s clothing had also been discarded into a waste bin, to move it out of their way. A trolley jack, which our volunteers use to transport heavier items, and even our sweeping brush were also taken.

CCTV footage from the rear of the store has been reviewed, and the matter is being dealt with appropriately. We will not be sharing these images, but ask that the trolley jack be returned.

We always stress that anyone who is struggling can speak to us. We can also advise on other supports that may be available. Unfortunately, theft has been an issue in the past and almost always involves higher-value items rather than basic necessities.

We would like to thank our volunteers for their continued hard work, and everyone who supports our charity store. It is one of only two charity stores in Gorey run entirely by volunteers. All proceeds go towards funding our counselling and education services, which over the past 12 years have provided thousands of hours of free counselling to people struggling with their mental health in our community.

A massive thank you to the team Active Tribe Courtown Adventure & Leisure - the total raised is now a staggering €4500 - which will help fund some 65 hours of counselling services.

Over €2,000 was recently raised by locals in Wexford as part of a 10 hour stationary cycle challenge to raise funds for Futures in Mind (Talk to Tom).

We are seeing an increase in referrals from organisations such as Tusla, along with other state-funded bodies and charities.

A mental health charity from Wexford has seen a significant increase in the number of helpline referrals since the beginning of 2026.

Meet our board member and Chair, Trudi Sinnott. Trudi joined the team in 2017, and has served as our Chairperson for the past number of years.

With a background in nursing and primary care, Trudi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board. She is also actively involved in the farming community, helping us to better understand and respond to the mental health needs of one of Ireland’s most overlooked professional groups.

A talented artist, Trudi has also contributed many of the beautiful artworks that adorn the walls of our clinical centre, as well as painting murals in our child and adolescent rooms.
