The foot–brain connection is fascinating. 👣🧠

Our feet contain a huge amount of sensory information. When the sole is stimulated, MRI can now show activity in the brain’s sensory and motor networks.

So exciting !

I recently completed specialist training in Menopause Reflexology, and it had a lasting impact on me—not only as a reflexologist, but as a woman navigating perimenopause myself.

As I began experiencing the waves of perimenopause, I found myself revisiting feelings I thought I had left behind many years ago. Anxiety resurfaced, my body was changing, and at times I felt as though I was back in those uncertain teenage years 🫠 It was confusing, overwhelming and, at times, lonely.

For many years, I believed HRT wasn’t an option for me because of a family history of blood clots and the uncertainty surrounding it. During my training, I learned how much our understanding of menopause and its treatment has evolved. It reminded me that every woman’s journey is unique and that there isn’t one answer for everyone. Knowing that I had choices gave me back a sense of control and hope.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of slowing down and listening to ourselves. We speak to our GPs, read books, search for answers and seek advice, but we also need to trust our own experience. Connecting with other women who truly understand can be incredibly reassuring, reminding us that we are not alone.

My Menopause Reflexology treatment is based on the specialist sequence I trained in. It combines reflexology, targeted acupressure points and carefully selected essential oils to support women through this transition. The treatment is designed to help calm the nervous system, ease menopausal symptoms and create a space where women feel nurtured, supported and understood.

Your nervous system is constantly reading your environment — scanning for safety, stress, and balance.

Reflexology works through the feet (especially the plantar/sole area), where thousands of nerve endings connect back to the body. By applying gentle pressure to specific points, we help signal the nervous system to shift out of “fight or flight” and into a calmer, restorative state.

It’s not just about the feet… it’s about supporting the whole body to reset, regulate, and heal 🌿

There are over 7,000 nerve endings in your feet that connect to every part of your body. When we work on your feet, we’re working on your whole self.
