Introducing my dear friend Rachel Dempsey with whom I will be facilitating our day of Water, Voice and Wild Medicine at St Kevin’s Well in beautiful Glendalough on Saturday 22nd August from 12-5pm

I’ve known Rachel a few years now. She’s a gorgeous singer and gentle singing coach who has years of experience holding singing workshops and creating harmonies between people and the land through voice work.

I very much look forward to sharing time with you and the land as a co facilitator with her again.

As I’m listening to the wind I notice once again how singing happens throughout the natural world and plants participate in this magic through their vibrational medicine so this promises to be a day of deep connection, celebration and healing for us and the land

When you’re a biodynamic craniosacral therapist you’re in love with bodies healing, mending, transforming themselves.

I’m often asked “what do I do?”

But this practice is about non-doing deep listening, and supporting what the body wants to do, wants to, needs to change. The practitioner’s grounded presence witnesses and holds through gentle contact, in a knowing, spacious and wholistic way with other ‘participants’ in the field like the stillness and safety of the place.

But I also feel that the newly-leafed trees, the sun, the rain, the singing birds outside my window all partake in this holding.

In the second part of my inquiry around “where is health?” I explore how this question becomes a felt sense, a sensorial, embodied ‘feeling with’ as I hold and deeply listen to the organisational, embryonic force that is Health with a capital H, do its magic in my biodynamic craniosacral practice.

Health is presence, vital presence within and around us. It expresses in all of us and in plants, blossoms, a river, a mountain, a meadow, the ocean…

Here is an excerpt

‘Where is health in you today? Where do you feel vibrant, vital, more alive?

Common questions preceding a biodynamic craniosacral session. When I as the practitioner, ask them I invite the person to tune in and connect with their body as an expression of Health and notice where their ‘resources’ are, or where feels good, safe, comforting. Once the person can orient to resources within their body or in their lives, the safety of this anchoring allows Health to express itself more freely in my experience. Health in this context is a primeval organisational force that, as James Jealous DO beautifully says, “can never be diseased”.
