📣€887,575.89 funding boost for 𝟮𝟯 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀

Great news today for 23 community climate projects in Limerick whose projects have secured funding under the Community Climate Action Programme.

Among the projects receiving funding in Limerick are €67,000 for the construction of a new garden area for 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗱, €100,000 to 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀 for the development of a community garden space in the town centre and €70,532.94 to 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for the development of a community resilience hub that increases spaces for community groups and activities.

This is a significant funding boost for community climate projects in Limerick.

It is very encouraging that Government, through the Climate Action Fund, are providing funding directly into communities in Limerick to empower them to take meaningful local action on climate change and contribute to energy and climate goals at the national level.

Each one of the 23 projects receiving this hugely welcome funding will make a very positive impact in our communities across Limerick.
