Sure why do children need physio anyways?!?!😉🫣
Inspired by last week’s post about children’s (paediatric) physio being a speciality, quite often people don’t realise what we actually do or see.
While it is absolutely impossible to get every single condition we treat into one reel (I could be here for a week listing everything out!!)this might just give you an idea of the MANY things we see across all ages!!Again never a dull moment on our line of work and we wouldn’t have it any other way 🙌🙌🙌

POV: You are a Children’s Physio and someone says to you “you only see children, wow that’s mad isn’t it?!”🫣🤯

Ok so let’s be clear, statements like these happen all the time and truly there is usually no bad intent behind them.

So often people do not realise that Children’s (or Paediatric) Physiotherapy is a specialty and physios like ourselves have been specially trained in the management of Childhood conditions. As you can imagine these conditions will vary according to the age of the child and many other factors 🧡🧡

Simply to say that one of our main aims here is to raise the awareness of not only our own service but also of the many other clinicians that work with children and the amazing work they do 🫶🫶

So yes John we do only see Children (those aged 0-16 to be exact), it probably is a bit mad but we wouldn’t have it any other way!!And yes Children’s Physio, like anything to do with children is a specialty…..I guess that’s why they have Children’s Hospitals 🏥😉🥰

Ps. No John’s were hurt in the making of this post!!!

A Look Back at Life Lately 🫶🫶
I feel like I say this every time but truthfully this has been the busiest few months yet both professionally and personally 🥰🥰

From speaking at a careers evening in in April to running our first Specialist Clinic in May. Running very busy clinics in some hot weather to attending the Impact Players Conference in Belfast .reboot.

Some of the highlights for me include ongoing business coaching with and undergoing mentoring with the wonderful

Throw in the completion of a 3 year house build and a communion into the mix and you just about have it!!!

Proud does not even begin to describe how I feel about where we are going with this service and the unbelievable crew of people that we have involved. We are all fully committed to raising the standards of Paediatric Physiotherapy care and looking forward to the next part of the journey 🧡🧡

Proving the point that we all get it wrong sometimes!!!😉😂

Genuinely when I first realised that my child was going around in shoes that were nearly two sizes too small for her I was mortified, I couldn’t believe I had missed this and truthfully I didn’t want to admit it either but….

I just wanted to prove a point that none of us (even healthcare professionals!!) get it right all the time. Parenting is hard, we are all trying our level best and from years of experience of working with families, that is all anyone can ask for 🥰🥰

As for the shoe scenario well I would definitely recommend you keep an eye on that, especially around growth spurts. Make sure to get your child’s feet measured when buying new shoes as you may be surprised just how much they have grown 🦶🦶

As for me…..let’s just say I won’t be making that mistake again any time soon 😉😉

A Look Back at February ☀️☀️

Another month that has absolutely FLOWN by, truly struggling to keep up with the weeks now!!

Honestly a very lucky woman to be surrounded by this team, we continue to strive to provide the best care for your babies, children and young people….whilst also having a bit of fun along the way too😉😂

A Look Back at January!!!!⭐️⭐️

I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I honestly thought January flew by!!!!Soo many great things to fill you in on so let’s get going….

1. Ciara is back!!!!!After undergoing ACL surgery herself at the end of last October, I cannot tell you how delighted we are to have Ciara back with us!!!While she might not be doing handstands just yet, Ciara brings such a huge warmth and energy to the place, never mind her clinical expertise, huge welcome back 🩷🩷

2. While continuing to run really successful clinics in both Trim and Enfield, Caitlin began a 6-week Advanced Online Paediatric Orthopaedic Course with This has been such an excellent course already from which we are all learning, such a sign of the dedication that Caitlin has to her Paediatric clients 🩷🩷

3. Due to the growing nature of our team, Aoife has began to dedicate more of her time to clinical supervision to ensure all staff are well supported and continue to grow and learn. Restarting Business Coaching sessions with has been a huge goal for 2026 and this has helped this year get off to a great start 🤗🤗

4. We relaunched our new website!!!So much going on behind the scenes with this and still lots to do but so grateful for the direction and support of .ie with this 💛💛

5 and 6. Our newest team members Niall and Seán are continuing to build their Paediatric caseloads and are flying it!!Two excellent physiotherapists, we so looking forward to supporting their development and seeing them excel this year 🙌🙌

7. To say there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes with our spinal service is an understatement!! Beyond grateful to for their specialist knowledge with this. I cannot wait to see both our clinics grow and support each other, exciting times ahead 🫶🫶

And that pretty much rounds up January, no wonder it flew by!!!!Roll on the brighter days of February, we can’t wait to see what you have in store!!
