❤️ WORLD RESTART A HEART DAY | 16 OCTOBER 2026 ❤️
🫀 REMEMBER: ANYONE CAN SAVE A LIFE.
If someone collapses in front of you, would you know what to do?
In a cardiac arrest, every second counts. Knowing these four simple steps could make all the difference.
✅ 1. CHECK – Check if the person responds and whether they are breathing normally.
📞 2. CALL – Call 999 or 112 and ask for an ambulance. Put your phone on speaker and follow the operator’s instructions.
💪 3. COMPRESS – If the person is unresponsive and not breathing normally, start CPR. Push hard and fast in the centre of the chest.
⚡ 4. SHOCK – If an AED (defibrillator) is available, use it as soon as possible. Switch it on and follow the voice prompts. It will guide you through what to do.
❤️ You don't need to be a doctor or a paramedic to make a difference. Taking action while waiting for emergency services can help save a life.
At Kilcoole Community First Responders, we want everyone to feel confident enough to act in an emergency.
