How do you solve uneven or lumpy candle tops? Rough or uneven tops are one of the most common issues in candle making, especially with natural waxes.

Take a look at our 3 top tips for a smooth finish:

- Use a heat gun – A quick pass over the surface can smooth out rough or uneven tops and help remove sinkholes.

- Pour at the right temperature – Following your wax's recommended pouring temperature can make all the difference to the finished candle.

- Warm your containers – Pouring into room-temperature or slightly warmed jars helps improve wax adhesion and encourages a more even finish.
