Hi folks,
I think we're all feeling this lockdown, I know from clients that a lot of hope has vanished for people at the moment. feels like there is no end to this s**t and nothing to look forward to. This lockdown is really taking a toll on people's mental health.

Please be aware that Kildare Psychotherapy & Counselling remains open (as are most mental health services) as psychotherapy/ counselling is rightly deemed an essential service. This means you can attend sessions face to face and you can travel for appointments.

That's the door closed for 2020 folks! It's been a s**t show of a year but we got through it. Thank you all clients, new and old for your continued support during the year. It's a privilege to get to help so many people. I'm gonna do the best to look after myself over Xmas, please do the same for you.

Hi folks,
We approach lockdown again, my fear is this is going to be worse on people's than the first as we enter winter. I want to reassure people I will remain open throughout lockdown, as I did throughout the first lockdown.

Psychotherapy & Counselling is covered under essential services and you can travel for therapy appointments.

I have been quiet on this page as myself and radio host Peter Dunne have been working on the Straight Talking Mental Health Podcast. If I you haven't already, check it out, you will definitely find a few laughs and lots of information on mental health to get you through lockdown.

Whilst we are covering serious topics in each episode we do try to knock a bit of craic out of it as well. Life is hard enough right? Here is a sneak peak of the brand new Straight Talking Mental Health podcast, which will be officially launching on Tuesday, June 9th!

This podcast is presented by radio host Peter Dunne and myself.

We want to get rid of the stigma around mental health and talk about everything that affects our heads from anxiety, depression, self-esteem, su***de, loneliness. We also look at mental health in popular culture and have guests telling us about the role of mental health in their lives and much more.
