Kerry Mental Health Association is delighted to endorse “Self Employed – The Forgotten Community” by Dan O'Donoghue which was launched at The Brehon Hotel, Killarney on Thursday 11th June.

The book is a powerful guide for self-employed individuals who want to build a business that supports their lives – not consumes them.

The Tralee-based author challenges the hustle-driven mindset and offers a smarter, more sustainable way to succeed.

It shines a light on the many tough realities of being self-employed and the importance of looking after your mental health while offering practical guidance and reassurance from cover to cover.

The General Manager of Kerry Mental Health Association, John Drummey, said: “Working for yourself can offer freedom and flexibility, but it can also bring unique pressures that are often invisible to others.

“Congratulations to Dan for writing a timely, useful and compassionate book for the self-employed community that acknowledges that ambition and vulnerability can coexist, and that resilience is something we can actively build.

“We are especially grateful that proceeds from the book will support Kerry Mental Health Association.”

By addressing the mental health challenges that may arise from self-employment, Dan has created a valuable resource that empowers people to look after their businesses and themselves.

Dan O’Donoghue, who is originally from Valentia Island and has built successful businesses, said: “This is not another feel-good business book, it’s a lifeline complete with hard-earned lessons from the real world without the classroom theory.

Self-Employed: The Forgotten Community, published by Orla Kelly Publications, is available from https://buythebook.ie/product/self-employed-the-forgotten-community/ for only €20 plus postage/packaging.
