I’m thrilled to share this page. It’s Kathleen Ahern, a new author and poet from Glanworth, Co. Cork, Ireland.

Kathleen has written a delightful collection of poems “Possibilities With Love From The Angels”.
“Kathleen Ahern arrived into the world in 1959 to a loving and lively family in Co. Carlow. She was shown and taught a love of nature and all living creatures, so it seemed right to enter into the world of care, where she spent many years nursing. Of course this opened the doors to her true healing ability and over time she realised she was a natural born communicator with spirit. She now lives with her husband Michael in Co. Cork, and of course with all the Angels, Fairies, and Elementals.”

I commend this book to you, it’s written with love, life, and Irish wit.

Can you help?
Kilworth Cycling Club is holding their annual Sportive this SUNDAY 14th AUGUST. The beneficiary of this year’s event is the 54th Kilworth Scout Group. The Scouts do amazing work in the community, and over 100 local children and leaders are involved in Scouting.

We are hoping to have a table laden with baked goods for all our weary cyclists when they complete their 60/110 km journey on the roads and hills of Cork.

Can you help? A few buns from Aldi, get the kids to make some Rice Crispy cakes, a packet of biscuits….. everything is welcome!

If you can help- then THANK YOU!
Cakes can be dropped to the halla in Scoil Mháirtín from 8am-12pm on Sunday 14th August.

The event itself starts at 9am with the 110km participants heading off, and 10am for the 60km gang. Please come along to hoot’n’holler and show your support for Kilworth Cycling Club and the 54th Kilworth Scouts!

The weather could have not been better for the 2016 Better Life Cycle! 23 glorious degrees, barely a breath of wind, and over 100 cyclists, including a strong Kilworth contingent, keen for the off.
