Podcaster -Talk therapy with Anne (Spotify)

I hold a BSc (Hons) and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I qualified in 2017, and at the end of 2021, I followed my passion and set up my own private practice. Feale Counselling Service is based just outside Abbeyfeale, County Limerick. (Parking is available at the rear of the premises for your convenience.) I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering a professional, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns and feel supported as you move forward. Using an integrative approach tailored to each individual, I draw on methods such as person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and humanistic approaches. I support clients with a wide range of physical, emotional, and mental health issues. I am accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). In addition to my psychotherapy work, I am:

* A certified Kinesiologist – offering a holistic approach that works with the body’s energy systems to identify and correct imbalances that may be contributing to stress or discomfort.

* Currently obtaining my Diploma in Body Healing Coaching – a body-focused practice that helps individuals reconnect with their bodies, release stored stress or trauma, and restore natural balance. It draws on movement, breathwork, somatic awareness, and emotional regulation to support both mental and physical healing.

* Trained in Pain Management techniques – helping clients understand the mind-body connection in chronic pain, and offering tools and strategies to manage and reduce pain naturally, often alongside or in support of medical treatment.

* Holder of a Diploma in Spiritual Counselling Skills – where I’ve received the necessary training to demonstrate competence and understanding in this field. This approach acknowledges the spiritual aspect of healing and well-being, offering clients space to explore deeper meaning, purpose, or connection in their lives—regardless of religious background.

Episode 164 - The Sunday Night Feeling

That familiar feeling when the weekend is winding down and Monday starts creeping into your thoughts... even when nothing is particularly wrong.

This episode explores the heaviness we can carry into Sunday evening, the pressure of what lies ahead, and

why sometimes we're not dreading Monday itself - but everything we feel we have to carry when it arrives.

🎙️ Mind Matters with Anne – The Truth About People-Pleasing

Do you find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no? Or worrying about disappointing people, keeping everyone happy, or putting your own needs last?

This week, i explore  the truth about people-pleasing — why we do it, how it can leave us feeling drained and guilty, and why setting boundaries doesn’t make you selfish. 💚

A gentle conversation about finding your voice, valuing yourself and remembering that your needs matter too.

🌿 BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM – 4 SPACES LEFT! 🌿

I currently have 4 spaces left for a chilled, relaxed evening at the Longcourt Hotel New Castle West on Thursday, 5th November start 🥂😊

This evening is open to self-employed practitioners who mainly work on a one-to-one basis — counsellors, therapists, holistic practitioners, and other helping professionals who need an evening out!

It’s NOT networking, NOT CPD and definitely NOT work! 😂

It’s simply about meeting like-minded people, having something to eat, enjoying a chat, having a laugh, and taking a little time out from working on our own. ❤️

If you’d be interested in joining us, please contact me by email at:

📧 [email protected]

I’ll send on all the details by email over the weekend. I’m out of office tomorrow, so please bear with me if I don’t reply straight away. 😊

🌿 Just 4 spaces remaining! 🌿

Would be lovely to have ye there! ❤️

Anne 💚

Episode 162 -

Sometimes starting again sounds exciting..until you realise how much uncertainty comes with it. A new chapter can bring hope, but it can also bring doubt, fear, and the question of whether you're really ready to begin again.

This episode explores the quiet thoughts we don't always say out loud when life asks us to start over.

🎙️ Mind Matters with Anne – The Story You Tell Yourself Becomes the Truth

The way we speak to ourselves can have a huge impact on how we see ourselves, our choices, and our lives. 💭

This week, I explore the stories we tell ourselves — the beliefs we’ve picked up along the way, the negative thoughts we can sometimes accept as facts, and how we can begin to challenge them and create a kinder, more balanced story.

Because sometimes, the story in our head isn't the whole truth. ❤️

Episode 161- Sometimes, someone's words hurt far more deeply than we expect- and it can leave us wondering why. This episode explores how other people's comments can sometimes touch an old insecurity or belief we already carry about ourselves. A gentle reminder that the pain may not always be about what was said, but about what it awakened within us.
