Clinical Nurse Specialist – Infection Prevention and Control
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent
Remuneration: €62,699 - €79,227 dependent on relevant experience.

The post holder has a pivotal role in service planning and development, coordinating and managing activity and resources within the Infection Prevention & Control programme for the hospital. The post holder responsibilities include the development and implementation of Infection Prevention & Control policies and procedures, the monitoring of activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service for the designated areas. You will provide clinical leadership and promotion of the mission & values of the hospital.

Health Care Assistant - Theatre

The Health Care Assistant will be required to work on a rotational basis and perform duties under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager responsible for the Operating Department complex. The person appointed will provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout the theatre area in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the centre of all we do.

Qualifications

Possess Leaving Certificate Qualification or equivalent
Possess a relevant Health Skills Qualification as outlined in the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Formerly FETAC on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) of no less than QQI Level 5
Pre Nursing Course or equivalent e.g. IATI , EMT (Desirable)

The Bon Secours Hospital Limerick offers same or next day assessment, treatment if your GP feels you require further investigation.

The Hospital Access Unit (HAU) give patients, expert medical care by a consultant in emergency medicine, supported by a dedicated nursing and health care team, with access to full diagnostic services including laboratory testing, X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.

If you or a family member (adults only) is unwell, speak to your GP about a referral to the HAU, please note unit’s inclusion criteria apply. Once your GP has spoken to the HAU team they will be given appointment details for each patients on when to attend the HAU.

Please note that admission to the unit is by appointment only. No walk-in patients will be accepted.

Delighted to support Down Syndrome Limerick and all the amazing work they do.

A huge thank you to Bon Secours Hospital Limerick for their generous cheque presentation to Down Syndrome Limerick following their fundraising table quiz earlier this year, with additional funds kindly contributed by the hospital.

We are incredibly grateful for this support. This fundraiser was about more than raising money, it was about recognising and supporting valued colleagues Shane and Leon, who are both members of the Bon Secours team and the Down Syndrome Limerick community.

Bon Secours Hospital Limerick's commitment to inclusion extends beyond fundraising, and we sincerely thank everyone who organised, participated in and supported this wonderful initiative.
