We regret to inform you of the passing of the late Mary Margaret (Pearl) Greene (née Convery), No.6 Midara Gardens, Dublin Road, Longford, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the loving care of the staff of Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, Monday, 24th August 2026.

Predeceased by her husband Brian, her parents and brother Kevin.

Pearl will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by her daughter Sinéad, son Martin, son-in-law Roderick, daughter-in-law Dawn,
adored grandchildren Brían and Oonagh, brothers Jim, Gabriel and Michael, sisters-in-law Rita and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Our Lady’s Manor Chapel, Edgeworthstown, (N39 VR04) on Thursday, 27th August, from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William “Morgan” Flynn, Havelock North, New Zealand and formerly Newtownforbes, Co. Longford, surrounded by his loving and devoted family, following a long illness, bravely borne, on the 6th of August 2026. Morgan was cared for with great kindness and compassion by the wonderful team at Arvida Mary Doyle, for which his family is deeply grateful.

Predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Prudence (née Frazer), and his brother Patrick (Cambridge).

Morgan is mourned by his adored children Martha, James and Alice; by their loving mother Donna; and his much-loved grandchildren Haylin, Miller, Vadie, Isobel and Ophelia, Gideon, Angus and Isador, Thomas and Olivia; by his sons-in-law Olly and Mike, and daughter-in-law Zoe.

Morgan will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters, Margaret (Brighton), Maura (London), Pauline (Surrey), Johnny (Newtownforbes) Prudence (California), Jimmy (Dublin), and Kathleen (Italy); by his sisters-in-law Mai and Anne; by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of dear friends in both Ireland and New Zealand.

The funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Te Mata Road, Havelock North, New Zealand,

at 10pm on Tuesday, August 11th Irish time

(9am Wednesday 12th, in New Zealand)

followed by cremation at Terry Longley and Sons Funeral Services.

The death has occurred of Michael Ward, 43 Annaly Park, Longford Town, peacefully, on 20th July 2026, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of The Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ellen Ward; his brothers, Brendan, Edward, Gerard and Thomas; and his sisters, Bridie, Margaret, Kathleen, Mary and Ann.

Michael will be sadly and forever missed by his brother, John; his sister, Evelyn; his brother-in-law, Ned Farrell; nieces, nephews; his dear friend, Julie; good neighbours and friends.

We regret to inform you of the passing of the late William (Billy) Mahon, Lismoy, Newtownforbes, Co. Longford, Saturday, May, 16th 2026, peacefully, in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents, Mary and John; sister, Mary; brothers, Noel and Paddy and nephew, Michael.

Billy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Geraldine; his children, John, Ann, Kathleen, James and Christopher; adored grandchildren, Cáitlín, Shauna, Ériu and Ruaidhrí; sister, Nora; brothers, Jackie, Jodie, Bernie, Tony and Brendan; sister-in-law; brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, many good friends and neighbours.

We regret to inform you of the passing of the late Sr. Evangelist Tiernan, Convent of Mercy, St Joseph’s Road, Longford, and formerly of Rabbit Park, Ardagh, Co. Longford on April 27th, 2026, Peacefully, surrounded by her family and Mercy Community, in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Roscommon Hospice.

Predeceased by her parents, Kathleen and Peter; her sister Bernadette Duke and her husband Vincent (Leixlip); her brother Pat; and her brother-in-law Alan Boxall (Kent).

Sr. Evangelist will be sadly missed by her loving sisters Anna Griffin (Dublin), Josie Boxall (Kent), Sr. Margaret (Mercy Convent Longford), and her brother Fr. Peter (Cloone/Aughavas), nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch.

Predeceased by his beloved daughter Louise, sister Marie, and brother Niall.
