Our Halloween preparations are continuing at Brídhaven, with decorations taking shape and a few witches calling by to keep an eye on things! 🎃🧙‍♀️ It’s been lovely to see residents and staff getting involved and adding their own touches as we get ready for Halloween. 🎃

With plenty of creativity and a few spooky additions, our home is taking shape for the celebrations ahead. It’s lovely to see residents putting their own stamp on the decorations and enjoying the preparations together.

We’re getting into the spirit of the season, with a few spooky touches around our home and plenty of Halloween fun to look forward to. It’s a lovely opportunity for our residents and team to get creative and enjoy the occasion together. 🧡

With World Food Day taking place recently, we’re giving a well-deserved thank you to our talented chefs and catering team here at Brídhaven. 👨‍🍳💚

From much-loved favourites to freshly prepared dishes, our chefs put thought and care into every menu. Using fresh produce, they create delicious, nourishing meals tailored to our residents’ tastes, preferences and dietary needs, because enjoying your food should always be part of eating well. 🥕🍽️

Food is such an important part of feeling at home. It’s looking forward to a favourite dinner, enjoying something sweet and sitting down to a meal made just how you like it.

Thank you to our kitchen team for everything you do behind the scenes to make mealtimes something to look forward to. Your skill, care and hard work are appreciated every day. 💛

✨There’s something special about the smell of baking. 💛

Our residents at Brídhaven recently got very busy baking, enjoying the chance to make something together and, of course, taste the results! 🧁

For many, baking has been part of family life for years, from favourite recipes to treats made for children and grandchildren. Making space for these familiar interests matters to us, giving residents the opportunity to continue doing the things they love and share their experience with others. 🧁

A fond farewell to our Czech Students from all of us at Brídhaven! 💚

Pictured on their final day are our students from the Czech Republic, who recently completed two weeks of work experience with us.

It was a pleasure to welcome them into our home, share our team’s knowledge and give them an insight into daily life at Brídhaven. Thank you for the enthusiasm and kindness you brought to your time with our residents and colleagues.

This World Mental Health Day, we are reflecting on the importance of listening to people’s lived experiences and ensuring every voice is heard with compassion, patience and respect. 💜

Meaningful support begins with taking the time to understand each person as an individual. By listening to our residents, families and colleagues, we can learn from their experiences and continue creating an environment where people feel safe, valued and comfortable speaking openly.

Our residents recently took some time to enjoy a relaxing knitting session at Brídhaven. 🧶💜

Knitting offers a lovely opportunity to slow down, focus on each stitch and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a project gradually come together. It also creates space for conversation, shared memories and exchanging a few helpful tips along the way.

It was wonderful to see our residents enjoying a familiar craft, expressing their creativity and taking pride in their work. 😊

Our residents bring so much warmth and energy to life at Brídhaven. Their wonderful personalities, stories and senses of humour keep everyone entertained, and our team enjoys these moments every bit as much as they do.

These genuine relationships are what make Brídhaven feel like home. Care is at the heart of everything we do, but so too are friendship, fun and enjoying life together. 💜
