We know it’s a little early to be talking about January… but physios are hard to come by at the moment! 😅

We’re looking to welcome a new physio to the Revive team in January, with full or part-time hours, flexible working and no weekend work.

If you know someone who’s qualifying soon, moving home from abroad, or simply looking for a change, please send them our way! 🫶

We are so excited to be bringing our Mummy and Baby pilates back this September with our Physio Louise ✨

These start back on Wednesday 16th September in Kilbehenny hall at 10.30am and will run for 5 weeks. These classes are a great way to gently start moving your body and regain some strength in a safe, controlled manner.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer our Pregnancy pilates at this time due to staff constraints.

To book in for classes go to ‘GROUP SESSIONS’ on our website. For any further questions please feel free to email us at [email protected] or message us here ☺️

It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Aaron this week as he prepares to head to London for a masters in Physiotherapy 😢

Anyone who has met Aaron over the last year knows how much of an asset he has been in the clinic and he will be sorely missed by all of us but we couldn’t let him leave us without bringing him on a tour of the local sites 🍻

Aarons last day is this Thursday and he has a few slots left so if you would like to book in with him one last time now us your chance!

We haven’t been the best at posting on social media lately but this felt too important not to share — Deborah is 5 years cancer-free 💛

As many of you know, Deborah was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2020 when her first daughter was just 4 weeks old. She began 6 months of chemo 2 weeks later. Safe to say those early days of motherhood looked very different from what she had imagined!

It’s been quite a journey since then and never one to sit still, Deborah opened Revive Physiotherapy 5 months after finishing treatment, the day after Saoirse turned one. A whirlwind of a year!

Five years ago, this milestone would have seemed a long way off but Deborah has spent that time working hard to build up her business which now employs 6 people, to raise two beautiful amazing little girls, show up for patients, friends and family with a determination that cannot be underestimated.

So from everyone here at Revive Physiotherapy, and I'm sure all your patients and friends, we are so grateful and so proud of you. You are an inspiration ✨️ ❤️

🚨 PROTECT MITCHESLTOWN & SAY NO TO 14 ACRE INDUSTRIAL BIOGAS PLANT IN OUR RURAL COMMUNITY 🚨

❓What’s happening?

An industrial biogas plant is proposed at Corracunna, just 60m from the nearest home. Cork County Council granted permission despite 20+ objections.

❓What’s the current status?

An appeal is now before An Bord Pleanála, and the public has until 28 January to make a submission or sign the petition. (We will share more information on our socials this week to assist with lodging a submission)

❓Why it matters?

• Odour & noise cause ~90% of complaints at industrial sites (source: EPA)
• Anaerobic digestion plants have been flagged as high-risk enforcement sites, including Timoleague, Co. Cork (epa.ie)
• Limerick example: A plant was refused because predicted odour was “seriously injurious” to homes.
• Odour & noise can enter homes, shops, cafés, gyms, offices, and schools, affecting daily life.
• Increased HGV traffic could disrupt deliveries, commutes, and emergency access.
• Once operational, the impacts would be extremely hard to reverse, AFFECTING MITCHELSTOWN’S REPUTATION, ECONOMY, and FURURE GENERATIONS

⚠️Real impacts documented:

• Ballyroan, Laois — residents reported “atrocious” daily odours (leinsterexpress.ie)
• Glenmore AD plant — EPA audits confirmed odour breaches (leap.epa.ie)
• Roscommon / Aurivo facility - €350k fine after odours made residents unable to enjoy outdoor life (independent.ie)
• UK AD plants — repeated complaints forced residents to leave homes (bioenergy-news.com)

🎤 YOUR VOICE COUNTS:
-Sign the petition
-Make a submission
-Share this post to help safeguard Mitchelstown’s future and protect generations to come.
