Breathe and Bloom Bernie is the author of The Unrushed Woman, a book exploring recalibration, emotional steadiness and returning to yourself in midlife. Leitrim.

She works as a holistic and Akashic practitioner and mentors holistic practitioners through her Phoenix Rising container Bernie is an Intuitive Coach, Wellness Practitioner, Author as well as a Mentor to many people. At 52 she turned her life around after being made redundant and set up her own business, empowering others to live a life they had only dreamt of by following their goals and dreams.

She works very Holistically using Essential oils, Mindfulness, Reiki and many other healing modalities. Bernie also runs various workshops and courses online, in the community and in her Breathe and Bloom therapy room in Mohill, Co.

You're never too old to learn something new!!!

I let school at 16 with hardly a qualification to my name. Then started studying again at 52 by taking my Anatomy and Physiology exam.

That was 11 years ago and I am still always learning as I love what I do and am so passionate about it that it doesn't feel like work.

Unfortunately I have an ear infection at the moment and on antibiotics as I couldn't shift it 🙈

I still had stuff I needed to do though so after taking the grandchildren to school I had to get home for a 3 hour online course I had to be on.

Now unpacking new products and cleaning my therapy room.

Now time for a well deserved cuppa and break 😅

This is what happened next after being made redundant at 52 in 2014

At the time I had no doubt my business would be successful but didn't know how or when.

I just trusted my gut instinct and followed the bedcrumbs.

I've been very busy this week, spending lots of time on my laptop completing online courses and updating my website. 😅

Tara decided she wanted to get involved too... or perhaps she was just making sure I was doing everything properly! 🤣🐾

Between studying, planning, and working behind the scenes on Breathe and Bloom, it's been a productive week. But now it's time to step away from the laptop and recharge.

I'm spending the weekend in the campervan in Strandhill, my happy place beside the sea. 🌊💙

For me, it's all about balance - working hard when it's needed, but also making time to rest, breathe, and enjoy the simple things in life.
