I’m delighted to be a finalist in the STEM professional category in this years Network Ireland Galway Business Woman of the Year Awards ✨

It was a pleasure to sit down with the judges and speak about how far Pelvic Health West has come with increased offerings and reach to suit women 💜 we also spoke about how there is still so much more to do within women’s health and how exciting that future could look. This is why I’m delighted to be a finalist within the STEM category 💫

Wishing all finalists the very best of luck this Friday ☘️ this night is always one of my favourite nights of the year. It is always such an uplifting room to be in, listening to such inspiring stories and journeys and the incredible work that women are doing in business in Galway 💜

Biblical to say the least!

Thank you for joining me and braving the conditions! We still managed a 4k with lots of progress 🙌🏻 the coffee .ireland was definitely needed after that one!

The next Dry Run (come on July! ☀️) is on Sunday the 5th of July meeting on the green at the top of Renville Park at 8:50am 🏃🏼‍♀️ all abilities welcome 🙌🏻

🌸 Lactation Support 🌸

Breastfeeding is something that always leaves me in awe of women - from the physiology behind it to the true grit and resilience I have witnessed from women it’s incredible 💜

I hear from so many of you that you’re prepared for why you should breastfeed but advice on managing the potential challenges you can face is something that can be left behind. This leads to confusion and a delay in getting you back on track when painful obstacles such as mastitis, engorgement or blocked ducts occur. In so many cases these can cause a mother to wean from breastfeeding when she would have wished to continue.

It’s all about the village! If you feel unwell with any of the above you should see your GP immediately. Our lactation consultants are a wealth of knowledge for latching, positioning and so much more! And then there’s physiotherapy 💜 we can provide advice and treatments such as:
🌸 Therapeutic ultrasound to promote fluid movement and reduction in inflammation.
🌸 K-taping to continue those anti-inflammatory and lymph flow effects.
🌸 Advice on massage to continue that fluid movement at home and prevent recurrence.
🌸 Postural assessment and advice.
🌸 Bra support advice
