✨️Sound Bath at The Owl Cabin✨️

I'm so delighted to be back at The Owl Cabin, sharing another beautiful evening of rest, relaxation and deep nourishment.

Join me on Thursday, 6th August, from 7.00pm – 9.00pm for two hours dedicated entirely to you.

We'll begin with a comforting cup of cacao or green tea – whichever is your preference – followed by a gentle guided meditation to help you settle into the present moment.

Then simply lie back, relax, and allow yourself to be immersed in the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, the gong, chimes and a variety of beautiful healing instruments.

This is your time to slow down, let go of the busyness of life, reconnect with yourself, and allow your mind and body to drift into a place of deep peace and restoration.

Please bring: 🤍 A cosy blanket 🤍 A cushion if you'd like extra comfort 🤍 An eye mask (optional)

Long before the funeral home and the formal eulogy, the Irish had keening. 🌿 It was one of the oldest and most powerful grief rituals in the world, a tradition so ancient its roots disappear into the pre-Christian Irish past. When someone died, the women of the community would gather at the graveside or around the body and give their grief a voice, a raw, wailing, wordless sound that rose and fell in waves, filling the air above the fields and the hills so that the whole landscape knew someone had passed.

The keeners were not performing. They were doing something far more serious than that. They were holding the community's grief so that no one had to carry it alone. The sound of keening was believed to ease the passage of the soul, to honor the dead in a way that silence never could, and to give those left behind permission to feel the full weight of their loss without shame or restraint. In a culture that had already survived centuries of conquest, famine, and dispossession, keening was proof that the Irish had always known how to survive sorrow by naming it out loud.

The British colonial administration banned keening in the 19th century, calling it uncivilized. 💚 The Irish kept doing it anyway, in quieter forms, in the kitchen, at the graveside, in the way certain families still go very still and very present when one of their own is lost. You cannot legislate grief out of a people. You can only drive it underground, where it waits.

🥁✨
A little bit of magic happened at our drumming workshop this evening ✨️

As soon as the drums began to beat, an unexpected audience appeared. One by one, the cows wandered over from the field, curious and calm, standing quietly as if they too wanted to be part of the circle.

There was something so beautiful about sharing the rhythm with nature, the sound of the drums, the fresh air, the birds singing, and these gentle creatures gathering around us.

Moments like this remind me why I love hosting gatherings at The Owl Cabin.

When we slow down, connect with the earth, and allow ourselves to be present, nature often responds in the most wonderful ways.
The drums called... and the cows answered. 🐄🥁💚🤪

It lifts my heart when I have a group come to the Owl Cabin, we had a lovely group last night for a sound bath, and today we had the ICA group from Borris-in-ossry. We laughed and chatted and meditated and finished with a sound bath.
Thank you all for your presence at The Owl Cabin.
My heart is full 💗

There’s something so deeply calming about the power of touch ✨

Reflexology is one of my go-to therapies for deep relaxation, restoring balance, and gently supporting the body and mind.

By working on specific pressure points on the feet, we can help encourage the body’s natural healing response and bring the nervous system back into a place of calm and ease. 🌿👣

Some of the beautiful benefits of Reflexology can include:

✨ Deep relaxation and stress relief
✨ Improved sleep
✨ Helping to calm anxiety and overwhelm
✨ Supporting circulation and energy flow
✨ Encouraging balance within the body
✨ Time to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself

Sometimes we don’t realise how much we’ve been carrying until we finally allow ourselves to rest. 💛

The Owl Cabin is a space to slow down, exhale, and simply be held in a peaceful and nurturing environment surrounded by nature. 🌙🍃

If your body and soul are calling for rest, Reflexology may be exactly what you need right now.

Appointments opening up for June, get in touch if you'd like a relaxing session.
