Today our residents had the best time with our furry therapy dog "Trixi"🐶 the room lit up with smiles and plenty of tail wags and treats!
Pet Therapy brings so much comfort and happiness to our residents and secretly our staff too..🤗😉cant wait for our next session Trixi here at PRV.😊

Here at Portumna Retirement Village we had our Nature Week. The Theme was "Connecting with Nature" where we brought the "outdoors in". Our activity coordinator along with our residents created a nature table containing pine cones, autumn leaves (painted by our residents) heather and lavender. An Gairdin, Portumna, brought in their local produce which is organically grown. Sr Noreen and Sr Anne gave a wonderful talk to celebrate Lunasa.

Things were heating up in PRV today, we had the lovely Jim Brophy singing all kinds of golden oldies, the dancers were in full swing. As our residents sat outside and enjoyed the music and fresh Ice Cream supplied by Dick and Liz Ridge the The Icecream Peddler☺️🤠🍧🍦🍨 .it was such a lovely day and long may this weather continue.

Well today was eventful to say the least we had the pleasure of welcoming the Country's Finest singing priest Fr Ray Kelly. A true gentleman you may be familiar with his huge hit Hallelujah. we at PRV were sure grateful for his time and graceful presence. We hope to see him again very soon.🥰🙏

Tuesday the 5th Of May was World Hygiene Day. Staff, Residents and family took part as Alicia demonstrated the importance of proper Hand Hygiene. These small techniques can help keep us safe some might say shes a "Dab" hand at Infection control. All and all everyday is a school day.😊☺️

Here at PRV we celebrated Easter in style.🐰🐣 Our cool chick Eithne sure delivered☺️ dressed from head to toe in feathers she was on a mission to ensure all our lovely staff and residents got their easter treats. Plenty of chocolate was enjoyed by all.it was an Egg-cellent weekend. 😉😊 happy Easter from all at PRV.
