We will be continuing with the administration of our Flu and Covid booster campaign.

If you are eligible and wish to avail of a COVID Booster or flu vaccine, please email : [email protected] or phone the practice and we will schedule an appt for you. If you could let us know why you are eligible and the dates of previous vaccines, that would be very helpful, PLUS your PPS no.

We will commence children’s nasal flu campaign, next week. Tuesday 25th October.
Please email for the children’s nasal consent form and an appt. All children aged 2-17 years are eligible. Bring the completed consent form on the day of your vaccination.

We will continue to run General Vaccination clinics every Tuesday afternoon for Flu, Covid Booster and for Nasal Flu.

*For a COVID Booster, you must not have had COVID infection within the last 4 months or a Covid Booster within the last 4 months.

Annual Flu clinics will be starting tomorrow 5th October.

We are going to be doing weekly Flu and Covid Booster Clinics , for our patients over 65, during October.

We will send a Text the week prior to the clinic, with an invite and time to attend. We are starting with the over 80s and will work down the age cohorts, each week. We hope to have completed everyone over 65 by the end of October.

To avail of the COVID 19 booster, you must not have had a COVID infection , in the preceeding 4 months and your previous Covid booster must be more than 4 months prior.

We need your PPS no. to process the flu.
Please wear a short sleeved top, on the day of vaccination.
Your are required to wait in the vicinity for 15 minutes post vaccination. The time is 30 minutes of observation, if you have any history of anaphylaxis.

An Afternoon Surgery in Aughrim will re-commence from Monday 13th June. It will be strictly by appt only. Appointments will be released on a Monday morning, so it is advisable to phone Rathdrum 0404 43436 to book an appt, first thing on a Monday morning, as appointments are limited. Dr. Sinead Sheehan

Happy New Year to everyone.
We will be running a Covid Booster Clinic on Tues 11th January
2.30-5.45 for patients aged 16-19
Eligibility: 3 months must have elapsed from the date of your last vaccine and you must not have had Covid infection, in the previous 3 months.
Please email: [email protected] ( if you wish to attend)
PPS no. must be included and confirm that you have not had a Covid infection in previous 3 months and date and type of last vaccine.

NIAC have not issued approval yet, for booster doses for children aged 12 to 15 years.
The the remit for General Practice was , to boost patients aged 16 and above.

Covid Vaccination for children, 5 -15 will be done via HSE so please log on to register via the portal.

As we hopefully are reaching the final stages of the booster programme, we look forward to brighter days ahead.

It has been a very tough and testing year.

So, please keep safe.
