❤️ A Little Update From Me ❤️

As I sit down to write this, I honestly don't know where to begin.

Since Christmas, more than 20 of my fertility clients have conceived. Twenty families who have received the news they had been hoping, praying and waiting for. Twenty journeys that remind me why I chose this work.

When I look at that number, I don't just see pregnancies. I see the tears, the disappointment, the heartbreak, the anxiety, the monthly waiting, the scans, the appointments, the setbacks and the incredible strength it takes to keep going when all you want is a baby.

Having walked my own difficult fertility journey, I know how lonely and overwhelming that road can feel. That's why every positive test means so much to me. I never take a single one for granted.

Of course, not everyone has reached their destination yet. To those clients who are still on their journey, please know I am right beside you. I will continue to support you, encourage you and believe in you every step of the way. ❤️

The next few months are going to be very exciting. I currently have 8 babies due within days of each other next January, including 4 little miracles due between the 14th and 17th of January alone!

One of the greatest privileges of my job is meeting these babies after they arrive. Babies who were so longed for, so prayed for and already so deeply loved before they entered the world. Those moments make every early morning, every late evening and every bit of hard work worthwhile.

To recharge my batteries after a very busy and successful few months, I'm taking a little break from 7th June until 22nd June. I'll be spending some time resting my hand, enjoying a holiday, doing some research and completing a CPD course.

I will be back refreshed and ready to hit the ground running on 23rd June.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me to be part of such a personal journey. Being allowed to walk alongside you x

I have a couple of appointments available next Sunday 7th June if anyone wants an appointment.

Thanks,

Claire. xx

Reflexology & Preparing for Labour

Receiving messages like this is one of the greatest privileges of my work.

This beautiful client first came to me for fertility reflexology and continued with treatments throughout her pregnancy. Recently, she welcomed a healthy baby girl after a labour lasting less than four hours.

While every pregnancy and birth journey is unique, many expectant mothers choose to have reflexology sessions in the final weeks before their due date to help support both physical and emotional wellbeing as they prepare for labour.

Benefits of reflexology in late pregnancy may include:

Encouraging deep relaxation and reducing stress hormones
Supporting better sleep and overall wellbeing
Helping to ease common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, pelvic tension, and swollen ankles
Providing valuable time for rest, self-care, and connection with baby
Supporting the body's natural preparation for labour

Many women find that having a few treatments from around 36 weeks helps them feel calmer, more balanced, and more confident as they approach birth.

Although reflexology cannot guarantee when labour will begin or how it will progress, supporting relaxation and reducing tension may help the body work more efficiently when labour naturally starts.

I am so grateful to receive updates like this from my clients and to be part of their journey from fertility, through pregnancy, and into motherhood.

Congratulations to this wonderful couple on the arrival of their precious little girl after a long wait.

Why Quinoa Is Excellent for Fertility Nutrition

I always encourage clients to focus on nutrient-dense foods that support hormone health, egg and s***m quality, blood sugar balance, and overall reproductive wellbeing.

One of my favourite fertility-supportive foods is quinoa.

Although often called a grain, quinoa is technically a seed and is one of the most nutritionally balanced carbohydrate sources available.

What makes quinoa particularly valuable for fertility is that it is a complete protein, meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids needed for:

• Hormone production
• Cellular repair
• Egg and s***m development
• Healthy ovulation
• Tissue growth and implantation support

Quinoa is also rich in several key fertility-supportive nutrients:

• Magnesium – supports nervous system regulation, sleep, stress response, and hormonal balance
• Iron – important for ovulation, oxygen transport, energy, and endometrial health
• Zinc – supports egg quality, s***m production, and hormone function
• Phosphorus – essential for cellular energy production and healthy cell division
• Fibre – supports blood sugar balance, digestion, gut health, and oestrogen metabolism

One of the reasons I recommend quinoa so often is because stable blood sugar is incredibly important for fertility health.

Frequent blood sugar spikes and crashes may contribute to:

• Hormonal imbalance
• Increased inflammation
• Fatigue and cravings
• Insulin resistance
• PCOS-related symptoms

Quinoa provides slower-release carbohydrates and, when paired with healthy fats and protein, helps support steadier energy and hormone stability.

Behind every fertility journey is a person carrying hope, heartbreak, fear, anxiety and a longing that words often can’t describe. Unless you’ve walked that road yourself, it can be hard to understand just how consuming it can be. I know, because I lived it too. My own fertility journey was incredibly tough, and that experience is exactly why I became a fertility reflexologist and fertility coach.

I get asked this all the time ... “How could you touch people’s feet ?” Thank God for reflexologists, I had approximately 35 sessions of reflexology after I lost Abbie and before Jack was born.

For me, reflexology is never just about feet. It’s about working with women and couples who are carrying so much emotionally. It’s about support, calm, hope, connection and helping someone feel less alone on one of the hardest journeys of their life.

Messages like this remind me why my heart is so invested in this work. To hear that someone has reached 12 weeks after 6 miscarriages is something I will never take for granted. The courage these women show every single day amazes me.

Somewhere between the chats, tears, laughter and treatments, I also love teaching my clients how to crochet 🧶❤️ I only wish I had more time to do it, because seeing someone discover something that brings them so peace and comfort is so special.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday, I'm writing this from the sideline at Castlerea pitch, waiting for the game to start and then it's off to watch Westmeath beat Dublin in the Lenister Final xx ❤️

Sometimes the shift doesn’t have to be complicated — just consistent.

I had a client who was eating a full 115g bag of sweets every single day. That’s a significant sugar load, roughly 18–20 teaspoons of sugar in one bag and with it came repeated insulin spikes and growing insulin resistance, both of which can quietly disrupt hormonal balance and fertility.

Here’s why that matters:
When insulin levels are constantly elevated, it can interfere with key reproductive hormones. High insulin can increase androgen (male hormone) levels, disrupt ovulation, and affect the delicate balance of oestrogen and progesterone. Over time, this can make it more difficult for the body to conceive naturally.

When she began fertility reflexology, she also made one key change: she reduced the daily sugar habit. Fewer spikes, more stability. We focused on supporting her nervous system, encouraging rest-and-digest states, and helping her body feel safe again.

Not long after… she conceived.

No extremes. No overwhelm. Just nourishment, regulation, and small, intentional changes.

Your body isn’t working against you — it’s responding to what it’s given.

Support it.
Calm it.
Nurture it.

Sometimes, it really is that simple.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I was unfortunately robbed on Saturday night while in Paris, after what had been a beautiful evening on the Seine. It was horrible but I’m okay and very grateful that it wasn’t anything worse.

At the moment, I don’t have access to my phone, so I have no way of contacting clients directly as all my numbers were saved there. I’m hoping to be back up and running by tomorrow evening.

To my clients especially those who were due or in labour over the weekend, I am so sorry I haven’t been reachable. Please know I’ve been thinking of you and I will reconnect with everyone as soon as I can x

A poem from one of my clients ❤️

Fertility journeys can feel heavy, lonely, and uncertain. There are days filled with hope, and days that quietly break your heart. To be trusted in that space … is something I never take lightly.

This poem reminded me that sometimes it’s not about “fixing” or forcing outcomes it’s about creating a place where your body feels safe enough to soften, to be heard, to begin to heal.

To every woman I work with: you are not alone in this. I see your strength, even on the days you don’t. I’m holding hope for you, especially when it feels hard to hold it yourself.

Thank you for letting me walk beside you. It is the greatest privilege 🤍

It is normally baby scans I'm looking at but this week it was my ear scans.

36 years ago this year, I had my left ear rebuilt.

This scan is my middle ear after a combined tympanoplasty and ossicular reconstruction back in 1990. A tiny prosthesis was placed in my ear to replace damaged hearing bones. It was major surgery, it didn't work so I had to have the reconstruction again in 1991, again it didn't work and I completely lost my hearing in my left ear much to my consultants disappointment and mine.

That reconstruction is still there 36 years later, in place. But what hasn’t been stable until now, is the inflammation around it and the consultants in UCHG were going to decide if I needed further surgery this year.

For decades, I lived with constant low-grade infection and inflammation around the surgery site. It became part of my life. Something I just “managed.”

Until this week for the first time in 36 years: No infection. No inflammation. I was shocked and so was my consultant.

And the only things that changed?

I took vitamin D consistently every single day. I cut out alcohol completely (I never drank much anyway) and cut down majorly on sugar too.

Alchol actively stresses your immune system, slows healing, disrupts your gut, and keeps your body in a constant state of inflammation.

Sugar? Same story. It feeds inflammation, spikes insulin, and quietly keeps chronic conditions alive.

Vitamin D isn't just a vitamin—it's a hormone that speaks directly to your genes to turn off inflammation."

Did you know every immune cell has a Vitamin D receptor? It’s your body’s natural 'off switch' for chronic inflammation."

Stop treating the symptoms and start feeding the foundation. Vitamin D is the silent regulator of your body's inflammatory response."

Your body is always responding to what you give it.

The question is are you feeding inflammation… or fighting it?

I know which side I’m choosing now. I still can't believe it.

I am just loving this Homemade Granola recipe.. Sunday dessert 🍨

There’s something so satisfying about making your own granola from scratch simple, wholesome, and packed with goodness.

This easy recipe comes together in just 10 minutes of prep and fills your kitchen with the most amazing toasty aroma while it bakes.

Ingredients:

• 300g oats
• ½ cup quinoa
• A mix of nuts (walnuts, pecans & hazelnuts)
• 3 tbsp coconut oil
• 2 tbsp maple syrup

Method:
Mix the oats and quinoa, add your favorite nuts, then stir through warm coconut oil and maple syrup until everything is nicely coated. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes until golden and crisp.

Perfect for breakfast with yogurt, sprinkled over smoothie bowls, or just as a snack straight from the jar or use it as a dessert topping like I have here.
