The death has occurred peacefully of Martin Dunbar in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff at St. James’ Hospital, Dublin.

Martin, predeceased by his parents Tommy and Annie and brother Tom.

He will be sadly missed by his relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Thursday 27th August 2026 from 5:30pm with Removal at 6:30pm to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Sligo for 7:00pm.
Requiem mass will take place on Friday 28th August 2026 at 11:00am with funeral proceeding to Sligo Cemetery for burial after.

The death has occurred peacefully of Marie Reynolds (née Lavery), surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital, Stroke Unit.

Marie, predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur, much loved son David and sisters Eleanor and Una.

Loving mother of Eleanor, Patrick and Rhonan.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, sons, son-in-law Andy, daughters-in-law Patricia and Rhonda, adored grandchildren Francesca, Olivia, Liam, Emma, Rebecca, Katie, Emily and Oisín, brother Patrick, sister Breidge, sister-in-law Marie, brother-in-law Kevin, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Paul’s sisters Maryrose, Sarah, Angeline, Maggie and Linda, his twin brother John, brothers Christopher and Frankie, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, his God daughter Jannette, in-laws and relatives wish to thank most sincerely all of those who sympathised, sent mass cards, attended the funeral and burial during their recent sad loss.

Thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital in the Oncology Unit for looking after Paul and his family so well and with dignity during his illness.

Thanks to Fr. Pat Lombard, Fr. Steve Walsh and Fr. Brian Conlon for their spiritual comfort and the wonderful mass celebrated for Paul. Thanks to Naoimi Nibbs for the beautiful musical contribution to the funeral mass.

Thanks to David, Bríd and all the staff at Foley and McGowan’s Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo for their kindness and professionalism shown throughout Paul’s funeral.

We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation to all who supported us through this difficult time.

A Month’s Mind Mass for Paul will take place on Sunday 23rd August at 10:00am at St. Anne’s Church, Sligo.

The death has occurred peacefully of Desmond (Dessie) McLoughlin, surrounded by his loving family at Sligo University Hospital.

Dessie, predeceased by his beloved parents Martin and Phyllis, his brothers Martin and James, his nephew Finbar and sister in law Anne, brother in law Liam McCarrick and his Mother and father in law Matt and Eilis Flanagan.

Will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Sinead, daughter Amanda, sons Dessie and Alan, sister Aileen McCarrick, son-in-law James, daughter-in-law Cara, brother-in-law John (Glastonbury UK), and his adored grandchildren Connor, Tori, Skyler, Kaylee, Callum and Ella.

He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
