Will the new teacher understand my child? Will they know what works? How do I make sure the right information gets passed on?

Please consider hosting an Ice Cream Funday in your school / locality / club/ workplace etc. in mid June... just get a gang together, give out some ice cream and set up a page for people to donate.

🍦Ice Cream Fundays Is Back🍦

This June 15th – 21st, we are asking you to gather your family, friends, and colleagues to host an Ice Cream Fundays party, with donations supporting our Early Years department.

Early stages are a crucial time for children’s development. During this stage, children begin building essential skills in movement, communication, learning, play, social interaction, and independence. Children with Down syndrome may take longer to reach certain
milestones, and early intervention plays a key role in supporting their growth and helping them succeed.

At Down Syndrome Ireland, we provide a network of early intervention supports for families of children from birth to seven years of age, including Speech and Language Therapy, baby and parent groups, Lámh support, and more.

A great supporter of Down Syndrome Sligo, Fidelma has fundaised in the past for us. Please support her now as she gets her head shaved along with her sister Anita plus others, in aid of two great local charities.

Fidelma Parke Mccarrick and her sister Parke are bravely shaving their heads in support North West Hospice and Sligo Cancer Support Centre 💙
The head shave will take place in the Southern Hotel on Saturday, June 6th. If you can support in any way — by donating, sharing, or even joining the shave — it would mean the world. ❤️
