Preparing for Lughnasadh

As the first harvest approaches, Ireland's hedgerows begin to fill with ripening blackberries, fragrant meadowsweet, blooming yarrow, and the quiet beauty of late summer.

Lughnasadh is one of Ireland's oldest festivals—a time to pause, give thanks for the abundance around us, and celebrate the changing of the seasons.

Whether it's taking a mindful walk through the countryside, baking fresh bread, enjoying a cup of herbal tea in the garden, or simply watching the sunset, this ancient celebration reminds us to slow down and reconnect with nature.

A very happy Thursday to you😊😊.
We have had a great morning here at The Herbalist’s apothecary with some wonderful new friends from The Bundoran Garden Community Group. Great fun, great questions and it’s such a pleasure to spread the healing properties of our native plant allies who are growing on our doorstep offering their potent medicine and support to all who listen and take notice of them.

We are going to postpone our weekend workshop “ making your own natural skincare products from scratch “
There have been many cancellations because of the incredible weather.
We will be having a final one before Christmas so you can have some beautiful products for gifting to your friends and loved ones.

We are looking forward to seeing you here. Dates published very soon.
