The death has occurred of Margaret Brennan née Moffatt, Kilmacnanny, Co. Roscommon, formerly of Annaduff, Co. Leitrim. Peacefully on the 24th August 2026, in her 100th year, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill, Co. Roscommon. Predeceased by her husband Michael, daughter Mary(Sheridan), infant son Patrick and sons-in-law Peter Gillooly and Mick Walsh.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Bríd, Cáit, Eileen and Detta, sons Stephen, PJ and Michéal, daughters-in-law Anne Brennan, Bernadette Brennan and Anne Brennan, sons-in-law Frankie Sheridan and Barry Smith, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her loving soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Leavy's Funeral Home, Scramogue (F42 FD78), on Wednesday evening, 26th August, from 6 to 8 pm, with removal afterwards to St. Cecilia's Church, Curraghroe. Mass of the Resurrection, on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Scramogue Cemetery.

The death has occurred of David (Dave) Rankin, Clooncagh, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon formally Rush, Co. Dublin. Peacefully at the Portiuncula University Hospital Ballinasloe surrounded by his loving family on the 27th July 2026. Predeceased by his parents Robert and May.

Dave will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his devoted wife Terry, sons, Damien and Richard, daughters Lorraine, Anne and Sinead, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and his 13 grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Dave will repose in Leavy’s Funeral Home, Scramogue (F42 FD78) on Thursday 30th July from 7pm to 8pm. Cremation will take place on Friday 31st July at 1.30pm in Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin (K67 HP26).

The death has occurred of William (Willie) Kelly, Curraghroe, Co Roscommon, peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Treasa Ward, Roscommon University Hospital on 16th July 2026. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Kate, brothers, Michael and Jimmy, sisters Mamie and Kathleen, granddaughter Sophie.

A kind and loving presence in the lives of all who knew him. Willie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bridie, sons, Brendan, Liam and Aidan, daughters, Aileen, Cora and Mairead, brother Peter, sister, Bridie, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and his large circle of loyal friends.

The death has occurred of Tom Carley, Rooaun, Kilglass, Roscommon.

Tom passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey. Predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Lilly, and infant son David.

Tom will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his loving wife, Agnes (née Dalton), sons Damien, Adrian, Eamonn and Ollie, daughter Andrea Keogh, son-in-law Bill, daughters-in-law, Fiona, Sharon, Claudette and Marie, grandchildren Dylan, Chloe, Danny, Rachel, Jack, Emma, Sean, Tommy and Ciara, sisters, Betty (Cox) and Mary (Breen), brother-in-law Peader, sister-in-law Eithne, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many good friends.

Hubert (Bertie) Fallon, Cordrumman, Scramogue, Co Roscommon and formerly of Bristol UK and Ballyhubert, Scramogue, peacefully following a brief illness in the wonderful care of the staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Rooskey aged 94.

Pre deceased by his loving wife Christine, sisters Ellen Young, Kate Keana, Mary Jane Cox and brother Sonny Fallon.

Sadly missed by his loving son Colin and daughter Jayne Doorley, son in law Tom, grandchildren, Louise Green (Anthony), Christine Casey (Stephen), Frances Doorley (Gerry), great-grandchildren, Nathan, Keith, Jamie, Shauna, Aidan and Chloe. His many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and many friends.

Agnes (Aggie) Scott, Cuan Mhuire, Four Mile House, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Castlemine, Co Roscommon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the kind care of the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon on 12th May 2025.

Pre-deceased by her sisters; Maisie and Kathleen, brothers; Tommy and Jimmy.

Agnes is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and special friends in Cuan Mhuire.

May Aggie’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Her remains will repose at Cuan Mhuire Oratory adjacent to St.Brigid’s Church, Four Mile House, on Wednesday evening from 6pm – 7.30pm followed by removal to St. Brigid’s Church.

Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 11 a.m. followed by burial immediately afterwards in Ballinderry Cemetery.

Nicola Murphy (Nee Brennan) Gortlustia, Scramogue, Co. Roscommon and formerly Ahascaragh passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the kind and wonderful care of the staff of Roscommon Hospice on 20th December 2024.

Nicola will be forever loved and sadly missed by her husband Joe, sons Conor and Óisin, parents Anne and Sean, sisters Valerie and Louise, dearest friend Linda (Fallon), mother-in-law Margaret, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters in law, brothers in law, work colleagues at Veolia, relatives and many friends.
