For many of our residents, attending Sunday Mass has been an important part of their lives for many years. At Tara Winthrop Private Clinic, we understand how meaningful it is to continue the traditions, routines, and practices that bring comfort, connection, and purpose.

Faith can play a significant role in supporting emotional, spiritual, and overall wellbeing. Providing opportunities for residents to attend Mass allows them to maintain their spiritual connections, reflect, pray, and share in a sense of community with others.

At Tara Winthrop Private Clinic we are always exploring new and engaging ways to support enjoyment, connection, and wellbeing for our residents.

👏A recent addition to our activities programme, the Tovertafel, has already proved hugely popular with residents and staff alike.

The Tovertafel — meaning “magic table” — is an interactive light projector designed especially for older adults and people living with dementia. It projects colourful moving games and images onto a table surface, encouraging gentle movement, social interaction, sensory stimulation, and fun in a relaxed and inclusive way 🥰

The activity encourages engagement while also supporting mobility, focus, and connection with others.

At Tara Winthrop, offering meaningful activities that bring enjoyment, stimulation, and companionship remains at the heart of daily life for our residents.🥰

Here at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic, Swords, each day offers a variety of meaningful activities that support wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment.

🎨 Painting remains a favourite activity among many of our residents, providing a calm and creative way to spend time together. In this collage, we’re delighted to share moments from our recent painting session featuring Michael, Sandra, Tom, Eileen, Annette, and Olive.

🌿 We’re also pleased to share a second moment from a peaceful evening walk around the beautiful grounds. As the day cools, residents often enjoy time outdoors, taking in the fresh air and surroundings. Here we see Dolly, Christina, and Patricia B., all of whom love their walks and the sense of calm they bring 🚶‍♀️🌅

And our Activities Coordinators have come up with another 'fun game' for our Residents - The Tovertafel (Dutch for "Magic Table") is an interactive light projection system designed for people with cognitive challenges, such as mid-to-late-stage dementia, intellectual disabilities, and special educational needs helps with the hand eye coordination 👏

It’s these everyday moments—creative, social, and active—that help make life here varied, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone.

This powerful poem is a moving reminder of the experience faced by many living with Alzheimer’s and dementia — and those who love and care for them.

At Tara Winthrop Private Clinic part of Grace Healthcare Ireland we provide specialist, person-centred care for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

We understand that while memories may fade, the need for comfort, dignity, patience, and human connection never does. 🤝

What a wonderful afternoon at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic as the RAMS in Rhythm elderly singing group came to visit! 💙

There was plenty of music, singing, laughter, and smiling faces as residents and staff enjoyed a fantastic performance filled with warmth and joy. Moments like these bring everyone together and create such special memories for our residents.

A huge thank you to the talented group for sharing their time, energy, and beautiful music with us — the happiness in the room said it all! 🎤

Today at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic we proudly celebrated International Nurses Day 2026 and honoured our incredible nursing team for their compassion, dedication, and outstanding care. 💙

Our residents got involved in a very special way by creating beautiful handmade signs to show their appreciation and gratitude — a heartfelt gesture that meant so much to our nurses.

To mark the occasion, management also treated our nursing team as a small token of thanks for the incredible work they do every single day.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to all staff across the clinic. Every role contributes to the care, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents, and today we recognise the whole team for their commitment and kindness.

Thank you to our amazing nurses and staff for your continued dedication — your care truly makes a difference every day. 🌸

Our Residents here in Tara Winthrop Private Clinic Swords, Co. Dublin were treated to a truly lovely Spa Day over the weekend 💆‍♀️

There was plenty of pampering as residents enjoyed a relaxing and fun-filled experience together. From beauty treatments to a cheerful make-up session, it was a day of feeling good and being spoiled 💄

What a great week we had at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic

Our residents enjoyed a variety of daily activities, including a favourite — Bingo 🎱. Another much-looked-forward-to highlight on our Activities List is live music
We were delighted to welcome Derek who treated our residents to a wonderful afternoon of entertainment. There was great music, plenty of hand clapping and singing along — a real “hoolie” enjoyed by all 🎉
