☀️ A Wonderful Summer BBQ at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic Swords, was held in glorious sunshine on Thursday, August 13th — and what a wonderful day it was 🥰

Our Residents were joined by their families and loved ones for an afternoon filled with music, singing, dancing, laughter and the making of many special new memories. 💛

We were also honoured to welcome members of An Garda Síochána from Main St. Swords Station, while some of the biggest stars of the day were undoubtedly the beautiful dogs from Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind 🐾

One of our Residents, Robert Wilson, is a dedicated fundraiser for this very worthy cause. Robert is pictured in our first photograph with his brother Liam enjoying the celebrations together; and he is also with two of the Guide Dogs later in the photos

Liam Moore, a regular and much-loved entertainer here at Tara Winthrop, provided the music and had everyone singing and dancing along. 🎶

The food was wonderful! Our sincere thanks to Grace Healthcare Ireland Group Head Chef Jose; Tara Winthrop chefs Costa, Mickey and Danny; and the entire kitchen team for preparing such a fabulous BBQ feast. 👨‍🍳🍽️

Ríoghnach Murphy, CEO of Grace Healthcare Ireland, also joined us for the occasion and introduced James Mooney, the new Director of Nursing at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic. We warmly welcome James and wish him every success in his new role.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and prepare for the day, led by our wonderful Activities Coordinators, and to all our staff who worked so hard to make the occasion so special.

Most importantly, thank you to our Residents for bringing the party to life and to all the families, loved ones and guests who joined us. It was a truly memorable Summer BBQ ☀️🎶💃🐾

💪 A little look back at last week’s exercise class with Siel Bleu Ireland

Our Tara Winthrop Private Clinic Residents enjoyed getting active, having fun and keeping those bodies moving. 😊

🌱🥕 Fresh from Our Greenhouse🥬🍅

There was great excitement at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic as our residents harvested some of the wonderful vegetables they have been nurturing in the greenhouse.

Thanks to the warm summer weather and plenty of care and attention, the vegetables flourished, and everyone was so proud to see the results of their hard work. Gardening is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and celebrate the simple joys of watching something grow.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely stroll through the beautiful gardens at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic, making the most of the lovely weather and spending time together outdoors.

It's amazing how a little sunshine, nature and good company can brighten everyone's day. 🌸😊

🎼 We had a wonderful afternoon of music, yesterday, here in Winthrop Private Clinic 💙

Our residents took part in the fantastic Nursing Homes Ireland Virtual Singalong, joining fellow nursing homes from across the country via Zoom for an afternoon of timeless tunes and shared enjoyment. 🎤

Music has a unique way of bringing people together, and it was heartwarming to see our residents singing along, reminiscing, clapping to the beat and enjoying every moment.

A sincere thank you to Nursing Homes Ireland for organising such a joyful event. We can't wait for the next one 💙

♠️ Cards, camaraderie and plenty of laughs ♥️ in Tara Winthrop Private Clinic

Joseph, John and Paddy were deep in concentration last week as they gathered for a friendly game of cards. Of course, every good card game comes with a little bit of banter... and there may even have been a few playful accusations of "cheating!" 😉🃏

Whether it's the cards, the conversation or the friendly competition, these moments bring smiles, spark memories and remind us that it's the company around the table that really counts.

Here's to great friendships, good humour and many more games ahead ♠️♣️♦️

☀️ Sometimes the simplest moments are the most special. 💙

With the good weather continuing, Monica and Michael took the opportunity to spend some time outdoors this week, enjoying the fresh air, soaking up the warmth and, of course, watching the world go by.

There's something wonderfully relaxing about sitting outside, sharing a chat, spotting familiar faces and enjoying the little moments that make each day special.
