Springhouse Therapy Centre Springhouse Therapy Centre provides therapeutic support for mental health and wellbeing. Our services are available to adults and children in County Tipperary.

Will and Ellie offer creative arts psychotherapy sessions for groups and individuals. Creative arts psychotherapy is a form of psychological therapy which uses creative mediums to communicate and explore feelings and issues. No previous experience in any creative activity is required. It is a chance to play, express and explore in a safe and comfortable environment. Clients can participate in individual or group sessions which may include the use of drama, movement, story, myth, improvisation, voice, play, puppetry, art and music. Through interaction, play and creativity we can discover new aspects to ourselves and find new ways to cope with life’s challenges.
‘The creative arts therapies offer a supportive environment, where people can communicate and work through emotions using the art form as a vehicle for emotional self-expression, interaction and change.’ - IACAT 2021

Ellie and Will are qualified Drama and Movement Therapists registered with the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They have recently moved their practice to Kilshane, Tipperary from the UK where they worked with the NHS, schools, day centres, a leading national bereavement charity, and an organization devoted to postnatal mental health. Due to the volume of work and referrals through our contract work as well as our private practice waiting list we are not currently accepting any new private referrals.

You may find it helpful to look for another suitably qualified therapist through the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT), which has a directory of accredited Creative Arts Therapists across Ireland:

IACAT – Find a Therapist https://www.iacat.ie/find-a-therapist-form

For those looking for an IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist, including therapists working with teenagers and adults, you can also search the IFS Institute practitioner directory:

IFS Institute – Practitioner Directory https://ifs-institute.com/practitioners

We will provide an update when our waiting list reopens and we are able to accept new referrals again.

We wish you all the best in finding the right support.

Today on World Down Syndrome Day, we had the absolute joy of spending the day with our members in Down Syndrome Tipperary💜

Throughout the year we are so privileged to work alongside the incredible members there, offering creative arts therapy and dramatherapy. It’s always a highlight of our work. Today was extra special as we came together to celebrate, wearing our odd socks with pride!

World Down Syndrome Day is all about recognising and celebrating the amazing individuals who bring so much richness, warmth and value to our communities. We feel so grateful to be part of their journey, witnessing creativity, connection and joy in action.

Thank you to everyone at Down Syndrome Tipperary for always welcoming us and for being exactly who you are 🧦✨
