Owen McCarthy, Head of Mission, presenting Jackie Landers, CEO, Listowel Family Resource Centre, with financial support towards an initiative, which will address the lack of a safe, warm, comfortable and confidential space in North Kerry where children can maintain contact with a parent, guardian or extended family member when they no longer live together. Children will have a more suitable space to spend time with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or other family members, while families may also be supported to access wider supports through Listowel FRC.

❤️ 60 in September ❤️

What a fantastic way to wrap up our 60 in September challenge at !

Seven teams took part across the hospital, coming together to get active, promote heart health and support positive mental wellbeing. Together, we raised an incredible €2,240 for the Irish Heart Foundation, while also helping to raise awareness of Pieta and the important work they do.

A huge congratulations to our Theatre Team, who came out on top and were presented with their well-deserved award! 🏆👏

Well done and thank you to everyone who took part, donated and supported the challenge. Every step really does count when it comes to looking after your heart. ❤️

The programme bases its activities on a holistic approach, providing a broad range of training and activities, which cater for the mental, physical and social wellbeing of members.

❤️ Promoting Heart Health in Our Community

Dr Makki, Consultant Cardiologist, and Marie Flynn, Cardiac Rehabilitation CNS, recently visited Tralee Revenue Offices to deliver a heart health and wellbeing talk as part of their Wellness Hour.

Around 20 staff members attended, with great engagement and discussion around heart health, lifestyle changes, cholesterol, and ways to reduce cardiovascular risk.

Thank you to everyone who took part and for the excellent questions and conversations throughout the session. Information materials were also provided to support staff in making positive lifestyle choices.
