These are viral infections which are highly contagious and can spread very quickly. They are also known as warts. It can appear as a speckled area and grows rapidly.
We will ascertain the best possible treatment to prevent the spread of infection during a consultation. We may use a chemical therapy or Swift Microwave Therapy to help aid removal.
Swift Microwave Therapy uses microwave energy delivered through a special probe applied to the skin to treat the affected tissue. Microwaves are delivered for two seconds each time, this is repeated five times, during a session. Heat is generated in the verrucae via the microwaves. Precise, localised cell destruction is caused by the rapid increase of temperature in the tissues. There is no need for local anaesthetic, regular dressings and no home treatment is required in between treatments.

There is no broken skin with treatment so no need for dressings and no need to keep the area dry. You can continue your daily activities/sports in between and after treatments.
