Today, Marley & I visited MC Beauty in Carlow.

Mary & Clíodhna are simply the best at what they do. Professional, talented & caring, their attention to detail is second to none.

But today wasn't about me.

Marley came along & from the moment we walked through the door, Mary made her feel like the most important person in the room.

Mary did her makeup, took photographs of her in front of the MC Beauty backdrop like a little celebrity & treated her with such warmth, kindness & genuine care that my heart could have burst.♥️

And then, as if that wasn't enough, they sent her home with a beautiful gift bag absolutely packed with treats🙏

Their generosity was incredible, but even more than that, it was the kindness behind it that touched me so deeply.

Kindness leaves a lasting impression on people's hearts.

I'm a huge believer in supporting local businesses run by women, not just because they provide a service, but because behind so many of them are genuinely good people who care deeply about the people who walk through their doors. Just like Mary and Clíodhna.

Thank you both for making her feel so special. Your kindness meant more than you'll ever know.

In the Glosna gardens, Marley & I were lucky enough to witness something really special.
A mammy woodpecker & her baby visited our bird feeding station. While mammy busied herself gathering peanuts, baby waited patiently nearby. Then, just as nature intended, she stopped what she was doing, came down, & fed her little one.
It was such a simple moment, but a powerful reminder of something we sometimes forget.
Mothers spend their days watching, protecting, teaching, worrying, guiding, feeding, comforting & doing whatever needs to be done to help their babies grow strong enough to fly on their own one day.
Nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that love, care & protection are universal languages.
And sometimes, if we slow down long enough, we're lucky enough to witness them. The last couple of weeks have reminded me just how fierce, instinctive & relentless a mother's love can be. Watching these two today felt like nature gently whispering, "You've got this Marie & Marley."
And isn't that what mothers do? No matter how tired, worried or overwhelmed they may feel, they simply keep showing up for their babies, one day at a time.
