The work?

*Our Shadow and our Container for clients and students*

It was almost 18 years ago that I become 100% self employed.

It was aided by the subprime crisis (Remember that one in 2008).
The hi-tech company I was working part time for (while building my practice) closed one day.

To my surprise, instead of people holding non-vital expenses such as therapy, I found out that during challenging times people actually need more support.

I have been fully self employed since with a thriving practice.

I realized very early on that while all of us (professional helpers) engage in some sort of personal development, most of us do not connect our self development with the number of clients and the kind of space we can hold.

For several years I made the exploration of the connection between our personal development and the number and nature of clients we can work with my focus

I actually gave a workshop with this name for 2 years, until Shadow work and then Family Constellations came into my life.

This Sunday I will give a 1 hour free intro about the ways that our Shadow affects the size and the shape of our container for clients and students.

Like always, it will be part practical theory and part experiential process, aimed at supporting you taking a step forward.

It is free but registration is required.

Apparently, a "Triggered Facilitator" is Forbidden Content.

I asked Gemini to generate an image of a triggered facilitator. It refused, calling the concept "harmful."

This perfectly illustrates the point: our own triggers are often pushed into the professional Shadow. We pretend they don’t exist, yet they affect our presence, our boundaries, and our capacity to hold space.

Shadow triggering is natural. The "harm" doesn't come from the trigger itself—it comes from the parts of it we refuse to see.
