I earned my Physical Therapy doctorate degree in the United States and was licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I worked in rehabilitation before making Aliyah. el. For the last seven years I have worked in outpatient services, mainly with Kupat Cholim Leumit and Maccabi. During this time, I specialized in womens' pelvic floor dysfunctions. I gained experience in this area working with the Modiin Illit community for two years. Throughout the years, I have continued to take courses in order to keep up with evidence based practice and new treatment techniques within physical therapy. I also became a certified Pilates instructor. I teach Pilates classes and incorporate Pilates exercises into my clients' treatments. My goal is to improve your daily functioning and decrease pain. I use a combination of education, exercise, manual work, and dry needling to achieve these goals.

What is Physical Therapy (PT)?

Physical Therapy is not just for pain and injury. It can help prevent future injuries, as well as treat and slow the process of some diseases.

PT is a team effort between you and a therapist to achieve desired results.

PT is goal-oriented with clear outcome measurements.

PT uses Evidence-Based Practice. Clinicians need to keep up with research and improve their skills.

PT views a person as more than the organs, muscles, sinews, nerves, and vessels they are composed of. Humans are not just these parts. They are affected by their history, conscious and unconscious choices, as well as environmental factors.

What is physical therapy? It is a profession that takes into account all these facts along with the science. It is not only a career but an outlook.

After completing my Doctorate in America, I moved to Israel and worked for many years in the public healthcare system.

Working with Maccabi, Clalit and Leumi gave me understanding of the Israeli health care system (for good and bad...)

During this time I took many continuing education classes (השתלמות). Pelivic Floor, Orthopedic Mobilization, Dry needling, and Pilates, are some examples.

In the next few posts I will give you more in depth explanations of the methods I use for treating my patients.
