Feet in the sand, cold drinks in hand, Latin music, and a band that somehow convinced half of us to become kazoo players for the afternoon.
The younger guests disappeared into a world of magic shows and games, while the grown-ups did what grown-ups rarely get to do... absolutely nothing for a while.
For one very hot summer day, Mannheim felt a little more like a beach vacation.

On paper, it’s called a "scholarship."
It comes with official forms, signatures, and budgets.
But at the Society of Women Engineers event, those papers turned into real faces.

We got to sit down over lunch and just had a chat with two, out of the three, brilliant student engineers we are supporting this year.
We talked about their studies and long term goals.
Looking at them, you see more than "outstanding students".
You see the future of technology sitting right in front of you, laughing, nervous, and incredibly determined.
To our scholarship recipients: we cannot wait to see what you build next.

כשיש מונדיאל הוא אף פעם לא נשאר רק על המסך.
בחודש וחצי האחרונים, האירוע המשוגע הזה יצא מהמסכים והפך לחלק מהשגרה שלנו.
הוא הגיע ל-Happy Hour עם גלידות, לפלייסטיישן עם FIFA 26 שהוסיף עוד קצת רוח תחרותית, ולחידון הטריוויה שבו השתתפו בהתלהבות עשרות מעובדי נובה וגם בני המשפחה שלהם.
מתוך כל המשתתפים, שלושה הגיעו לפודיום.

I have always enjoyed understanding how things work.
Before joining Sentronics, I studied electrical engineering, trained as an electronics technician for automation technology and spent a lot of time working on private and community projects where I could build, repair, improve and learn from others. That hands on way of learning has shaped the way I work today.
At Sentronics, my role sits between mechanical development, electrical development and production. I help connect what is designed with what can actually be built, tested and improved in practice.

That is exactly what I enjoy most: finding where a problem starts, understanding why something does not work yet and then creating a solution that makes the product, the process or the way we work a little better. For me, good engineering is not only about the final product. It is also about how each work step connects to the next, how information flows back from production into development and how we keep improving together.

One moment that stayed with me happened early on. A colleague showed me how to set up the axes of a system, and instead of only letting me watch, he let me do it myself. That might sound simple, but to me it said a lot about the culture here. There was trust from the beginning. Trust that I would handle the equipment responsibly, trust that I could learn by doing and trust that I could take ownership step by step.

What I also appreciate is that you are not left alone when something goes wrong. Questions are welcome, support is available and mistakes can be addressed openly, so that we can solve them and prevent them in the future.

What I connect with Nova is courage! The courage to think beyond short term results, to build something sustainable and to create value for everyone involved.

גם בהפסקת צהריים של 20 דקות אפשר להספיק לפתוח משחק, להקריב רץ, לעשות מט ולחזור בדיוק בזמן לפגישה הבאה.
עם השנים, משחק אחד הפך לשניים, שחקניות ושחקנים נוספים הצטרפו ללוח, והיום כבר יש בנובה קהילת שחמט תוססת שממשיכה לגדול.
השנה נבחרת השחמט של נובה, יאיר, רם, אילן ושמעון, ייצגה את החברה בכבוד באליפות ההייטק השנתית, ואף זכתה במקום השני במקצה חצי הגמר!

כל אחת ואחד שיש להם חיבה למשחק מוזמנים בשמחה ליצור קשר ולהיות חלק מקהילת השחמט בנובה. לא נדרש שום ידע מוקדם, רק אהבה לאתגר, סקרנות ורצון ליהנות.

You take a group of our most driven, outstanding Sales Pros, put them in Miami for the first-ever Sales Pro VIP trip, and tell them to take it easy.

Here is what actually happened:
They turned a quiet morning of fishing into a loud, hilarious, high-stakes battle over who caught the biggest fish.
(We still aren’t sure who officially won, but the arguments were beautiful).
They lost their voices screaming in the stands during the World Cup quarterfinals, holding their breath together at every near-goal.
They wandered through Little Havana, got slightly lost in the Everglades, and laughed until their stomachs hurt over things that had absolutely nothing to do with work.
We wanted to reward this team for an incredible year.
But watching them bring that same winning spirit, determination, and resilient energy to simply enjoying life together was the best part of the whole trip.

Now they're back, chasing opportunities, building relationships, and doing what they do bestת probably with a little Miami tan and memories that will last for years.
We're already looking forward to seeing who will earn their place on next year's adventure.

“Starting something new always comes with a bit of uncertainty.
I joined Nova recently as an Application Specialist and I’m still learning every day.

What drew me in was how much Nova focuses on learning from day one.
There’s a clear structure, which is achieved by the help of my colleagues and manager,
it’s like a support system that helps me find your way.
In these first few weeks, I’ve been asking a lot of questions (probably more than I expected).
And every time, I find that there is someone there to help, whether it was walking me through training cases or just sharing their own experience.
It makes a big difference knowing I wasn’t figuring things out alone.

I’m still at the very beginning, but I’m excited for what’s ahead, more training, traveling to meet teams globally, maybe even visiting headquarters.
For now, I'm focused on building a strong foundation, step by step.
Having the space to really learn takes the pressure off.
It makes the whole experience feel less like starting from scratch, and more like growing into something.”

If you want to get to know your teammates, try putting everyone in a raft.
Or on a zip line.
That's exactly what happened during our Japan team's three-day buddy training in Hokkaido.
Between rafting, zip lining, exploring a local distillery, great food, and an unforgettable karaoke night, there were plenty of opportunities to laugh, support one another, and create lasting memories.

The first day was spiced up with a little surprise, when Sharon Dayan, Nova's CHRO, joined the team, for an unforgettable experience.

Some people leave their mark through technology, others leave it through the people they inspire.
Matthew Sandelbach did both.

Throughout his career, from IBM to Nova and later TEL, Matt helped shape the field of semiconductor metrology with his technical expertise, curiosity, and willingness to share his knowledge.
He was a respected voice in the industry, a valued collaborator, and someone who was always open to new ideas.

Beyond his professional roles, Matt dedicated 15 years to the SPIE Metrology Conference committee, serving as Conference Chair and Co-chair from 2022 to 2025.
The photo we share today captures him presenting the SPIE Vladimir Ukraintsev Award for Collaborations in Metrology to Nova and Samsung, recognizing their joint work in advancing semiconductor metrology. It is a fitting reflection of Matthew's own long-standing commitment to fostering collaboration across our industry.

For many at Nova, Matt was more than a colleague.
He was a trusted partner, a mentor, and a friend whose guidance helped lay the foundation for collaborations that continued for many years.
We are grateful to have been part of his story and will remember him with great respect and appreciation.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.
