Ten years ago today, I landed in Israel with two children, a stroller, a shipping container somewhere between Switzerland and Tel Aviv, and more questions than answers.

Israel wasn’t new to me. But building a home, raising a family, and growing my career here was.

I knew I was moving countries. I just couldn’t imagine everything that move would come to mean.

Looking back, I don’t see the suitcases anymore.

I see friendships that are among the deepest and most meaningful of my life.

I see patients who trusted me.

I see three incredible children who grew up calling this place home.

I see challenges I never would have chosen, but that shaped me in ways comfort never could.

Ten years ago, I thought I was packing up my life.

Looking back, I realize I was unpacking a whole new one.

Some moments in plastic surgery stay with you long after the operation is over.
Three months after her eyelid surgery, this patient came to her follow-up holding her phone in front of her face. On the screen was her preoperative photograph. No words were needed. The comparison said everything.
What made her journey so memorable actually happened much earlier.
Just one week after surgery, she was still bruised, swollen, and far from her final result. Most patients find this stage emotionally challenging because it’s difficult to look beyond the healing process.

Some faces don’t need to become younger.
They simply need to reflect the person behind them again.
She is one of those patients I’ll remember for a long time.
A retired nurse who still chooses to work because caring for others is simply part of who she is. Her children live abroad, she lives independently, and despite spending most of her life looking after everyone else, she had never had any aesthetic treatment.
