Not every ovarian cyst is the same. Many ovarian cysts are benign and may resolve on their own, but a large cyst may require detailed evaluation and appropriate treatment depending on its size, appearance, symptoms, and the patient’s overall health.

🔬 How is a large ovarian cyst evaluated?

A doctor may recommend an ultrasound to understand the cyst’s size, location, and appearance. In some cases, additional tests or imaging may be advised.

If treatment is needed, the surgical approach depends on the individual case. Laparoscopic surgery (keyhole surgery) may be suitable for some patients, while a larger or more complex cyst may require a different surgical approach.
