SCLERAL LENS-

A corneal surgeon's answer for post graft High astigmatism , irregular astigmatism, lid margin keratopathy in SJS sequelae , advanced keratoconus management.

This beautifully done graft had infection which healed but due to scarring,high astigmatism was there.
Vision was in counting fingers even with glass correction.One eyed patient.

Scleral lens correction gave 6/12 vision.
Scleral lenses are large, rigid gas-permeable contact lenses that vault over the entire cornea to rest on the white of the eye (the sclera). By leaving a fluid-filled reservoir between the lens and the eye, they provide unmatched optical correction and continuous hydration.
