After your first chemotherapy session, some symptoms may need prompt medical attention.

As an oncologist, I always tell my patients not to ignore fever, diarrhoea, or oral ulcers after chemotherapy. These can sometimes indicate side effects that need timely management.

Don’t wait and worry, inform your treating doctor promptly. ❤️

Why is the chemotherapy dose different for every patient? 💉

Chemotherapy doses are not the same for everyone. When deciding the appropriate dose, I consider important factors such as weight, height, blood test results, and overall health.

Every patient is different, which is why chemotherapy is carefully planned according to the individual.

In this reel, I explain how these factors help determine the right chemotherapy dose.

During one of my recent chemo sessions, a patient developed an infusion reaction,
something that can happen with certain chemotherapy medicines.

It’s natural for patients and families to feel alarmed when this happens. But in most cases, these reactions are mild and manageable, affecting around 3 out of 100 patients.

What matters most is recognizing it early and responding calmly which is exactly what our team is trained for.

If you or a loved one is starting chemotherapy, know that your care team is prepared for moments like these.

An elderly patient of mine, his family so careful, so protective, had almost stopped letting him eat anything he loved.

I understand where that fear comes from but a strict diet doesn’t always mean a happy or healthy one.

Sometimes, a small cheat meal isn’t the enemy. What matters is that it doesn’t become a habit.

Because healing isn’t just about restriction - it’s about balance too.

Every time I meet a patient on Paclitaxel, chemotherapy there’s one question I never skip even if they don’t bring it up themselves.
Can you still button your shirt with ease? Do your slippers stay on while you walk?

Most patients don’t realize that numbness, tingling, or clumsiness in daily movements can actually be linked to their chemotherapy medicine itself.

It’s usually mild (Grade 1) and very manageable but recognizing it early makes all the difference.

If you or a loved one is on chemo, don’t ignore these small signs. Talk to your oncologist about them.

Cancer changes many things. But don’t let it take away your today.

As an oncologist, one of the most important conversations I have with my patients isn’t just about chemotherapy or scans - it’s about life.

Birth and death are not in our hands. But how we choose to live the time in between is.

If you’re fighting cancer, don’t postpone living until everything becomes perfect. Celebrate small victories, hug your loved ones, laugh a little more, and create memories.

Cancer is a chapter of your life, not the title of your story. 💙

Not every cancer treatment works the same way.

In this video, I share a patient’s journey with hormone therapy - a treatment that works gradually, not overnight.

We tracked her CA-125 levels over months, watching them steadily come down. But blood markers are only part of the picture. A follow-up CT scan tells us what’s actually happening inside — how the disease itself is responding.

This is why I always tell my patients: give the treatment time, and trust the monitoring process. 🎗️

Now, let’s talk about what matters most, the evidence.

Clinical trials have shown remarkable benefits of immunotherapy in several cancers, but it’s important to remember that these results depend on the type of cancer, its stage, and the patient’s individual profile.

The best treatment isn’t about choosing immunotherapy or chemotherapy, it’s about choosing the approach that’s backed by science for your cancer.

If you haven’t watched Part 1 yet, I highly recommend starting there to better understand the foundation before watching this part.
