A few days before Chaitra Navratri begins, I often reflect on a simple question.
Why do some people keep working hard… yet life still feels stuck?
Sometimes money comes but disappears quickly.
Sometimes opportunities come but don’t last.
Sometimes we feel we are trying our best, yet progress feels slower than expected.
Our ancestors believed that life is not only shaped by effort —
it is also shaped by energy, intention, and alignment with the divine.
That is why sacred periods like Navratri were treated with such importance.
These nine days were seen as a time to reset our inner energy, release old patterns, and invite new blessings into life.
People would pray, chant mantras, perform sacred fire rituals, and seek the grace of Mahalakshmi for stability and prosperity.
Not because they were weak…
but because they understood something very powerful:
Sometimes life changes when we align effort with spiritual energy.
This Navratri, beginning 19 March, I will be performing a Sri Suktam Havan along with abundance-focused healing practices, dedicated to those who wish to set new intentions for prosperity and positive change.
Participants’ names and intentions will be included in the ritual sankalp so they can receive the blessings of this practice from wherever they are.
*The energy exchange for participating in this Navratri ritual is ₹2222*
If this message resonates with you, perhaps it is simply a reminder that this Navratri could be the right moment to set a new intention for your life.

What Our Ancestors Did During Navratri

Long before modern lifestyles, people approached Navratri very differently.

For them, these nine days were like a personal spiritual retreat.

They would wake before sunrise, light a lamp, and offer prayers to Durga, the divine feminine energy that represents protection, courage, and transformation.

Many families would perform Kalash Sthapana, symbolizing the invitation of divine energy into their homes.

Food habits changed during this time.

People simplified their diets, observed fasting, and ate sattvic food so that the body could purify itself along with the mind.

Even more importantly…

They slowed down.

Less noise.
Less conflict.
More prayer.
More reflection.

Navratri was not just about rituals.

It was about creating space inside ourselves for clarity and strength.

Maybe that is something we all need again in today’s fast world.

The Arrival of a Sacred Time

Every year there comes a period in the Hindu calendar that sages considered one of the most powerful windows of spiritual transformation.

It is called Chaitra Navratri.

In 2026, it begins on 19 March and continues until 27 March, ending with the celebration of Rama Navami.

But Navratri is not only a festival.

It is a seasonal and energetic reset of life.

In ancient Indian tradition, this time marks the arrival of spring, when nature itself begins to renew.

Trees grow new leaves.
The air changes.
Even our body and mind enter a new cycle.

Our ancestors believed that during these nine days the cosmic energy of Shakti becomes more accessible to human consciousness.

And perhaps that is why they used this time not only for celebration…

…but for deep inner alignment.

Sometimes life gives us subtle reminders that it is time to reset our energy too.
