This patient presented with a long spiral femur fracture extending to the supracondylar region, further complicated by chronic renal issues and recent pyelonephritis.
The Solution: Biological Fixation via CRIF.

Delighted to have delivered two lectures at the 11th Ahmedabad Arthroplasty Association meeting, sharing insights with fellow surgeons on the future of total knee replacement.
My sessions covered:
1. The Biomechanics of the Knee: A deep dive into how a healthy knee works to better replicate natural motion.
2. Medial Pivot Knee (MPK) & rKA: A step-by-step guide on performing Medial Pivot Knee replacements using both manual instruments and advanced technology.
I discussed how combining Restricted Kinematic Alignment (rKA) with MPK designs can provide patients with a more stable, “forgotten” knee feel post-surgery. Staying at the forefront of surgical technology ensures my patients in Ahmedabad receive the most advanced care available.

Case study of a complex long spiral distal tibia fracture extending toward the ankle joint. For this patient, we utilized a biologic fixation technique via closed intramedullary (IM) nailing.
By prioritizing a “respect biology” approach, we avoided large incisions, preserving the blood supply essential for rapid recovery.
• Technique: Percutaneous K-wire stabilization followed by expert Tibial Nailing.
• Stability: Integrated CC screws for the spiral segment with triple distal locking.
• Outcome: Achievement of clinical bone union in just one month.
