Stavya Spine Hospital & Research Institute

Stavya Spine Hospital & Research Institute Lord Krishna helped Kubja with her Scoliosis during the Mahabharat Era. Why Stavya

Stavya, or Lord Vishnu, is one of the major deity of Hinduism.

As inspiring as this story is, we at Stavya Spine Hospital have treated and cured more than 3,00,000 patients with Spine disorder or spinal ailments since 2004. Lord Krishna is worshipped as the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu and also as the supreme god in his own right. He is the god of compassion, tenderness, and love in Hinduism, and is one of the most popular and widely revered among Indian d

ivinities. The Bhagavata Purana narrates that after meeting his friend Sudama, Krishna and his elder brother Balarama walked through the streets of Mathura and encountered Kubja, a young hunchback maidservant of the king Kansa. She had a beautiful face and carried a plate of ointment with her. Krishna praises her beauty and asks for ointment in return for a boon. She introduces herself as Trivakra, one who is bent in three places. Mesmerized by Krishna's charm, she grants him the ointment that she was taking for the king. Pleased, Krishna presses his toes on her feet and placed a finger of both his hands under her chin and raises the fingers, which straightened her body and made her beautiful.

“Whenever righteousness wanes and unrighteousness increases I send myself forth. For the protection of the good and for the destruction of evil,
and for the establishment of righteousness,
I come into being age after age.”
— Bhagavad Gita 4.7–8

Lord Krishna helped Kubja with her Scoliosis (the medical term used nowadays for trivakra) during the Mahabharat Era. As Inspiring as this story is, we at Stavya Spine Hospital have treated and cured more than 2,00,000 patients with Spine deformities and disorders since 2004. Case 24 | The 33 Vertebrae Chronicles

A 60-year-old patient came to us with back pain and pain radiating to the leg. At first, it looked like a routine spine problem.

But detailed scans told a different story.

His spine had developed differently from birth, making the anatomy far more complex than usual. In cases like these, success depends not just on surgical skill, but on careful planning before surgery even begins.

Using advanced 3D navigation, every step was planned with precision, allowing the surgery to be performed safely and effectively.

Sometimes, the most important part of surgery happens before the first incision.

Can adults develop spinal deformities?

It’s one of the questions we hear most, usually from people who assumed this was only something you’re born with or spot in your teens.

The short answer is yes. Dr. Ravi Ranjan Rai explains why in the video.

If your posture, or a parent’s, has been quietly changing, it’s worth watching before you write it off as just age.
