During her ten year tenure in the UK, She has obtained the membership of the royal college of ophthalmologists and has gained clinical, academic and surgical skills. Currently, She works as a consultant retina specialist at I Sight Retina centre in Ahmedabad, India. Her special areas of interest are medical retina, uveitis and retinopathy of prematurity. She has vast experience in diagnosing and m
anaging diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular disorders, age related macular degeneration, hereditary retinopathies and retinal dystrophies. She has been part of the largest telemedicine network for screening of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in western India. She is well verse with conventional laser as well as newer intravitreal treatment for ROP. She did an outreach retina clinic in rural area to serve the underprivileged areas of the society. She worked with a Non-Govermental Organisation(NGO) hospital for diabetic eye diseases and has set up a telemedicine diabetic retinopathy screening service. She is actively involved in multicentre randomised control trials and regularly present research work at various local, national and international meetings. Teaching ophthalmic fellows, medical students and paramedical staff is an integral part of her work.
