Monsoon is also the season when mosquito-borne illnesses such as dengue become more common.

A sudden high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint or muscle pain, nausea or vomiting can be signs of dengue. If these symptoms appear, don’t ignore them or assume they are just another seasonal fever. Timely medical attention can help with early diagnosis and appropriate care.

Take simple precautions too: avoid stagnant water, use mosquito repellents or nets, and keep your surroundings clean.

Stay protected this monsoon.

Monsoon brings its share of rain, but it can also create conditions where mosquito-borne illnesses thrive.

Malaria can cause fever, headaches, body aches, diarrhea, nausea and other symptoms that may initially seem like a routine seasonal illness. Knowing the warning signs and seeking medical attention when symptoms persist can help ensure timely diagnosis and care.

A few simple precautions can also go a long way: avoid stagnant water, use mosquito repellents or nets, and keep your surroundings clean and dry.

Stay alert, stay protected, and don't let a seasonal illness go unchecked.

Growing older doesn't have to mean growing weaker.

In this conversation with Jay Vasavada, Dr. Niraj Vasavada, Senior Spine Surgeon at Zydus Hospitals, shares why healthy ageing is about much more than protecting your spine. Strong muscles, an active brain, and regular exercise all work together to help maintain mobility, independence, and overall well-being.

From understanding the importance of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week to why resistance training is just as important as walking, this video offers simple, practical insights that can help you build healthier habits for the years ahead.

Watch the full conversation and discover why investing in your health today can make all the difference tomorrow.

The right action at the right time can save a life.

To promote awareness and preparedness during medical emergencies, Dr. Rupa Shah, AHA Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor, recently conducted an interactive Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training session for faculty members, administrative staff and students of IIM (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad).

The session combined essential concepts with hands-on demonstrations on mannequins, giving participants the opportunity to practise key life-saving skills, including recognising emergencies, performing high-quality CPR, activating emergency response, using an AED, and responding to common first-aid situations.

At Zydus Hospitals, we believe that empowering more people with these critical skills helps build safer, more prepared communities, because in an emergency, every second counts.

If you've been doing everything right - eating well, staying active, and still finding it difficult to manage your weight or diabetes, it may be time to look beyond diet and exercise alone.

Weight management and Type 2 diabetes are influenced by multiple factors, including hormones, metabolism, genetics, appetite regulation, and lifestyle. That's why effective treatment begins with understanding what is driving your condition, not just addressing the symptoms.

At Zydus Hospitals, our specialists create personalised, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to your health needs, combining lifestyle interventions, diabetes management, and medical therapies when appropriate.

This World Lung Cancer Day, let’s remember that lung cancer isn’t defined by a single risk factor. While smoking remains a major cause, anyone can develop lung cancer. That’s why recognising persistent symptoms and seeking medical advice early is so important.

If you experience a cough that doesn’t go away, unexplained weight loss, chest pain, breathlessness, or coughing up blood, don’t ignore it. Early diagnosis can lead to timely treatment and better outcomes.

Awareness is the first step towards saving lives.
