Delighted to share the successful multidisciplinary management of a *rare and complex Bear attack injury* at Super Speciality Hospital, Amravati.

A 28-year-old male was referred to our centre with devastating craniofacial trauma, including extensive scalp avulsion, compound depressed fronto-temporal skull fracture with dural tear and exposed brain matter, mastoid fracture, and multiple complex scalp and facial lacerations.

The surgical management included meticulous wound exploration, extensive irrigation and debridement, elevation of the depressed skull fracture, dural repair, preservation of viable avulsed scalp tissue.
Scalp reconstruction was performed using a posteriorly based advancement scalp flap to achieve tension-free, vascularized coverage of the exposed calvarium and dural repair site with preserving its blood supply from occipital/posterior scalp vessel.

The combination of severe soft tissue loss, open cranial injury, exposed intracranial contents, and gross contamination from a wild animal attack made this an exceptionally challenging case, requiring close coordination between Neurosurgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

आई-वडिलांच्या डोळ्यातलं असहाय्यपण... आणि एका ८ वर्षांच्या चिमुरडीचं हरवलेलं हास्य...

८ वर्षांच्या चिमुरडीवर कुत्र्यांनी क्रूर हल्ला केला. तिचा चेहरा गंभीर जखमी झाला. त्या क्षणी फक्त जखमा नव्हत्या... एका कुटुंबाचं संपूर्ण विश्व हादरलं होतं.

शस्त्रक्रियेनंतर जेव्हा तिचा चेहरा पुन्हा आकार घेऊ लागला, तेव्हा तिच्या आई-वडिलांनी डोळ्यांत अश्रू आणून एवढंच म्हटलं...

"डॉक्टर, तुमच्या हातात जादू आहे."
