A Milestone That Means More Than a Certificate
Today marks a special moment in my journey—not just as a cataract surgeon, but as a mentor.
I am delighted to announce the successful completion of the first batch of our Phacoemulsification Surgical Training Program at Yash Netralaya. Watching my first trainee, Dr. Edakhe Parnika Sureshrao, complete the course with confidence has been immensely rewarding.
Teaching surgery is about much more than transferring skills. It is about sharing experience, building confidence, ensuring patient safety, and empowering another ophthalmologist to take the next step in their professional journey.
The greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that the skills imparted today will benefit hundreds of patients in the years to come.

Delighted to share that I was installed as Vice President VOS at the Vidarbha Ophthalmological Society Midterm Meet in Yavatmal. I also had the privilege of presenting a talk on “Best Biometric Devices and Formulae in Post-Refractive Cataract Surgery Cases,” focusing on improving accuracy and decision-making in these challenging cases.
