Feb'26: Seeing INDIA 🇮🇳 alongside my name in an international faculty panel was a moment of immense pride, gratitude and responsibility.

Glad to be a part of ISSS- IASSACON 2026, the International Sleep Surgery Conference, as Invited Faculty. Had the opportunity to deliver 2 talks, and conduct an Instructional Course on Sleep Endoscopy.

The icing on the cake was being awarded 3 medals at an international platform - 1 Gold 🏅 and 2 Silver 🥈🥈- a truly memorable milestone.

But beyond the academics and recognitions, the most special part of the conference was reconnecting and collaborating with the incredible sleep surgery fraternity from India and across the globe 🌎

Experiences like these inspire us to continue pushing boundaries, advancing sleep care, and proudly representing Indian ENT on the global stage. 🇮🇳✨

A coin. 🪙
A curious child. 👶
A silent emergency. 🚨

This 2-year-old presented with a coin stuck in the food pipe (esophagus) — a situation that can quickly turn serious if missed.

🔍 X-ray confirmed the diagnosis
🔬 Intra-op view showed impaction in the upper esophagus
✔️ Successfully removed endoscopically

💡 Key message:
Not every swallowed object reaches the stomach safely.
The esophagus is the most common site where coins get stuck in children.

⚠️ Watch for warning signs:
• Sudden drooling
• Difficulty swallowing
• Vomiting
• Refusal to eat

🚨 If suspected, do not wait. Seek urgent medical care.

Early intervention = safer removal + fewer complications.

We spend almost one-third of our lives sleeping, yet it is the most neglected pillar of health.

As a sleep doctor, I often meet patients who have normalized years of poor sleep.
They think constant fatigue is normal.
They think loud snoring is harmless.
They think waking up exhausted is just part of a busy life.
The think diabetes & hypertension are a constant accomplice.

But very often, these are warning signs.

One of the most commonly overlooked conditions is Obstructive Sleep Apnea (O.S.A.) where breathing repeatedly stops during sleep. What many people dismiss as 'just snoring' can silently affect the heart, brain, blood pressure, metabolism, and overall quality of life.

The good news is that once identified, sleep disorders are highly treatable, and the improvement patients experience can be life changing: better energy, sharper focus, improved cardiovascular health, and truly restorative sleep.

This World Sleep Day, take a moment to ask yourself a simple question:
Are you sleeping… or just lying in bed through the night?

Because sometimes, the most important health problems begin when the lights go off.

“Sleep is the only medicine we take every night without a prescription- yet it may be the most powerful one.”

*Thursday Thyroids*

Big swelling ≠ Cancer.
Swipe ➡️ to see the transformation.

This 6 cm thyroid nodule looked alarming externally. But lucky for the patient, turned out to be completely benign. Meticulous dissection done ✅️. Successful removal achieved✅️.

Timely surgery prevents:
• Progressive enlargement
• Pressure symptoms
• Cosmetic concerns
✨️ Most importantly, ensures peace of mind. 😌

Early consultation makes all the difference.

✨ *THURSDAY THYROIDS* ✨
This week, we successfully operated on a VIP patient battling Thyroid Cancer (Papillary Carcinoma of Thyroid). Lucky her cancer was caught in the early stages. A complete thyroid removal means a virtually guaranteed cancer-free life ahead. 💪🩺

Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu at Chikitsa ENT Hospital- one of those moments that quietly reminds you how far you’ve come.

When a national icon and international cricketer walks into your clinic seeking specialised ENT care, it is not just a visit - it is a validation of years of dedication, training, and commitment to excellence.

It was an honour to welcome Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu to Chikitsa ENT Hospital. Moments like these reinforce what we strive for every day: to build a centre where patients feel confident placing their trust in our hands. From our doctors to our staff, and to our patients, everyone plays a role in making Chikitsa a place known not just for expertise, but for care.

The staff was more than excited to get a camera capture moment with Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu. And sir was humble enough to honour their request.

Grateful for the trust, the journey, and the privilege of serving at , Punjab's leading Ear, Nose, Throat centre.

*Thursday Thyroids*: Total Thyroid removal for THYROID CANCER.

This 65 year old female patient presented with a long standing thyroid mass of more than 10 years. On investigations, this turned out to be a case of Thyroid Ca (Papillary Carcinoma Thyroid). Fortune was on her side as the thyroid cancer still seemed to be within the gland itself. We have now removed the complete thyroid and are hopeful that this will give her a life long Freedom from Thyroid Cancer.!

Merry Christmas!

Hey Space Enthusiasts, don't miss your chance to see 'shooting stars' in the Indian sky this December! 🌠☄️

When meteorites (space rocks) enter into the Earth's atmosphere, they burn down due to the air friction. This creates a beautiful appearance of 'Shooting Star'. 13th & 14th December nights hold the peak of Geminids Meteor Shower visible through most of the Indian Sky. ☄️☄️

How to see: Best time would be from 11 PM to 4 AM 🕐. Just look up and find the brightest object in the night sky. That's Jupiter. The Geminds meteor shower would be just next to it. Keep your eyes glued to this area of space, and, you should be able to see one shooting star every 3 minutes in a clear sky. 👀
You can also use apps like or to locate them more accurately. 📱

Have a happy star gazing experience. 🌌🌌
