"Teenagers these days have too much attitude."
But what if it's not attitude at all?
Many teenagers are quietly struggling with overthinking, academic pressure, loneliness, social media comparison, anxiety, and identity confusion. They may look distant or silent—not because they don't care, but because they don't feel understood.
Sometimes, they stop talking because they believe no one is really listening.
Teenagers don't always need more rules or more control.
They need trust. They need connection. They need someone who will listen without judging.
As parents, teachers, siblings, or friends, we have the power to create a safe space where young people feel heard, valued, and supported.
Every conversation can make a difference.
